I just pre-order the Series 3 and IPhone 8, but will will probably hand over the 8 to my twin brother in November once I get my iPoopX :D

Hope the X will surprises me... what scares me most is the stainless steel border which is know scratch very quickly (same as Apple Watch). I never use cases on my Apple products, but I may consider one this year or maybe a CapeCod cloth will do the job like with the Apple Watch...

Jesus, you are a whiner. It's not that big of a deal. You know beforehand you're not going to use it because you have a brain and do what you need to do. If you need to use it and it's almost dead, then use lighting to charge and use it. Enough wall sockets available? Get a damn power strip. Fixed that problem. Electric usage for two chargers? If you can't afford the power usage from two chargers you probably should just get a flip phone and not worry about a $999 device. Fixed that problem. Free space for a Qi charger? Move some sh-t. Fixed that problem. Good lord, you make it sound like it's the worst thing ever. All wireless charging on smartphones use this, get over it, or stop being a baby.

i have the mophie case that allows for wireless charging...i love it...i just sit the phone down, it immediately starts to charge and if i need to pick up the phone, i just pick it up...no need to unplug anything. also i have a charging station for the watch and the ipads to save space and no cords all over.

I hope they do the pre-approve fast lane for the X, I need as much of an advantage as I can get:D

Waiting since Summer 2016. Have to wait an extra month and a half. Sigh

Undecided.

I planned all along to buy the X in at least 256 (higher capacity if they offered it, which they aren't).

I felt gut-punched with the oct 27/nov 3 dates. (and realistically unless they are really cranking out phones in the next 3 months... it's going to be longer)

I just don't know.... we'll see what oct 27th brings. the excitement may come back again. I really, really don't know.

but if I buy one it will be gray 256 (and hubby will get grey 64... he's not and app and photo hoarder like I am!)

The excitement for me hadn’t abated. It’s going to be a loooong 6 weeks.

Anyone know how to order 2 iPhone X's at the same time instead of purchasing them with 2 separate transactions via the Apple Store App? I don't want to miss out on the 2nd order.

Thanks in advance

Is that what you have to do???

If the iPhone X was the same price in Europe that it is in the US, it would be affordable for most. You guys pay $999 (£735). We are paying £999 ($1,356) and this is for the base model with a mediocre 64GB storage option. This is why people are pissed off and it's greeted with a pompous response of 'well Apple products are expensive so if you can't afford it buy an Android or inferior iPhone'.

I've spent years on this forum defending iPhone users against people calling us fanboys and elitist snobs and this is first time I've seen it with the release of this phone. We've even had people asking for the price to be to be put up to £2k so they can feel even more superior for owning it. It's pathetic.

I feel like you. I've always been bothered by people calling me fanboy because I love my Apple products. However, since the MBPr touchbar - which is 400EUR more for the same specs as my 2 years old MBPr - and now the iPhone X... I can't recommend Apple products to any of my friends anymore. iOS is great, but it's just not worth the price difference between a galaxy S8 - 629EUR here in Germany - and iphone X 1159EUR for 64GB (not extendable with SDcard like the S8). Same for the Macbook Pro touch bar, I could never recommend this product to anyone...

People say sheep will buy anyway, well... even if the crazy fans that we are have doubts - yes you have to be an Apple fan to spend time reading and commenting in here - then think about the average guy? Apple has to increase it's market share to stay relevant, and it's going down big time...
