Agreed, I have been with Apple every single year since the original iPhone but they crossed a greed line that I'm not sure I can get over. What makes it worse is that they know most will want more than 64gb so goodbye $1149!
It was pretty telling that they wouldn't acknowledge the price for 256gb, either verbally or on screen.

They think "from $999" will stop everyone's gouge-o-meter from going off.

This is what I don't get. They give us 4k this, AR games, and all that which obviously take up a buttload of space. What is 64gb doing for anyone? Once you bump up the ip8 or ip8+ to 256gb, the price is eye watering. 128gb should have been standard, and it would be worth the $50 increase.

Space Grey 64GB for me. Will also buy the official black folio case, which looks really nice. UK based, so it will set me back a staggering £1098 (£999 for iPhone X & £99 for the folio case). At least the later than expected pre-order date will give those of us ordering the iPhone X an extra pay day to save our pennies! Just a shame that the expense of Christmas will then be right around the corner.

I am justifying the eye watering price, by telling myself I have been good/restrained in previous years. Have held back from upgrading for quite a while...still using my 5S, which I purchased back in September 2013. Prior to that, I had a 3GS, which served me well for 4 years. So based on my track record, iPhone X will hopefully see me through till 2021.

Removing the 128GB option was such a coldly calculated move that this is what has really annoyed me.

Note: If you're not buying, DO NOT COMMENT BELOW. Go whine elsewhere.

Undecided.

I planned all along to buy the X in at least 256 (higher capacity if they offered it, which they aren't).

I felt gut-punched with the oct 27/nov 3 dates. (and realistically unless they are really cranking out phones in the next 3 months... it's going to be longer)

I just don't know.... we'll see what oct 27th brings. the excitement may come back again. I really, really don't know.

but if I buy one it will be gray 256 (and hubby will get grey 64... he's not and app and photo hoarder like I am!)

I'll be getting a 256 white :) So glad they made the face of the phone black. That white notch at the top would've been horrible!

There's no white, only silver and grey. Although the silver does look white in videos! I am waiting for MKBHD's crisp 8k video/photos to see all the details

Not a chance. I thought I would be tempted for sure as I buy every new iPhone but not this year. I'll stick to my Note 8 for a while. Thought the Note would be a nice place holder until the iPhone came out but never mind. And it's would cost me 200 more than the already high price for the Note.

Well at least they didn't do the "starting at $x per month" like they sometimes do. But yeah, no doubt that was intentional.

IF I get the X, it will have to be the 256GB, I don't want storage almost full notifications popping up after recording a few 4K videos.

Hi guys. Haven't been on here since last year when we were all impatiently waiting for our iPhones 7 and 7+ to arrive.

I want the X. I'll get the 256 which I'd been considering anyway even before they did away with the 128 (which is what I have now - 7+). Don't care about the color. I like both. It always gets covered up by my case anyway. If I get an inkling that one color is less popular than the other, I will probably order the less popular color. Just so I possibly have less trouble ordering and get it quicker. Price tag is steep so I do have a couple of questions. I apologize if this has already been answered in other threads or on this thread or was actually addressed in the announcement and I just missed it.

- How will the X compare in size compared with 7+?
- Last year was the first year I signed up for the upgrade program. I will have paid more than 12 months worth by the time I order next month. As a member of the upgrade program am I required to upgrade only to the 8 or can I jump ahead and upgrade to the X?
- Also, last year I was required to start the upgrade program by linking it to a credit card but then later switched it to my checking account. Will there be a problem on the night of the 27th if I still have it linked to my checking account?
- Also, are there any tricks for people that are members of the upgrade program to ensure it doesn't slow down the ordering process when it goes live? I seem to remember people had some problems last year…
- Am I correct in saying that the wireless charging pad is extra and is not included with the X?
- Lastly, has anyone estimated how much the monthly upgrade fee will be for the iPhone X with 256 GB?
- And if I've already made 14 payments will that lessen my new monthly payment?

Well, that was a lot more than a couple questions. Sorry. :) Any helpful feedback is appreciated

iPhone 8/8+ is a very solid update so either way people have a choice as to what meets their needs.

Freaking Apple cannot change the design after four years. Lame as Apple obviously is catering towards higher end market devices. Just look at the iPads as proof.

Loving all the "no" replies, the iPhone X pre-order should be smooth sailing

Does not mean folks will get one any time soon. Apple preorders are a disaster, if I wanted something I scored way better just going to their store and getting my device well ahead of others regardless.

I am not really sure if I will get one. I am having an iPhone 6 plus now. Thinking to go for iPhone X but the UK price is killing me. Also it has no touch id (which I love the most). Because the price of iPhone 8 is nearly to the iPhone X, it might be better to go for the X. Still thinking.

Probably going to get one. This is a huge update.

Anyone interested in a mint condition iPhone 7+ 256GB?

I can throw in an unopened/unused Grey leather case.

Looks like it'll be $56.16/month for iPhone X 256GB through Upgrade program. That's about $15 more per month than I'm paying for my 7+ 128GB so that's doable.

Plus it's rumoured it will have an under screen Touch ID.
I really wanted an X Plus, but the display on the X will be bigger than on the 7+ or 8+. This is first time (7+) I have had a Plus and I've really liked it. But the X may contain the best of both worlds: bigger display but a little less bulky.

I am considering an 8+. It's kinda an upgrade for me since I have a normal 7 but I'm still thinking about it. Not sure how I will like the huge +
