How much better in real life than the 8+?Battery life seems really good, especially the Xs Max, which I am excited about.
That's the smart way to do it, not only for yourself, but for everyone, as it may make Apple consider lowering their prices.Year over year iPhone upgrades have always felt relatively incremental. But as soon as you start making 2 or 3 year jumps then they feel quite significant. Really can't expect anything different.
Yet you didn't point out the parts your thought were biased. "Biased" means more than "disagrees with me," for the record.
ive never liked his reviews. his take on the Apple Watch when it launched was horrible. From what I remember he just thought it was a glorified notification device. Of course he didnt understand what the watch is meant for. Fitness. It was better seeing reviews from people that actually understood the main purpose for the watch IMO.I did.
He predicated his review, by stating he would never forgive Apple for stealing his sons name.
WTH.
Thought he was suppose to review a phone not whine about his life.
After last years feeble attempt to make Face ID fail....well, more of the same
He looks visually upset btw.

What ever happened to “going to the Apple store and trying out the phone”?
You’re not factoring that not everybody has an Apple store within reach, and even some countries don’t have/or have very few Apple stores at all. So the Internet is a way for them to use YouTube reviews for those hands on reviews, because they don’t have the opportunity to see the latest iPhone in person.

Classic Verge. Always finding something strange to put under 'bad stuff' in their reviews.
I mean, "very good but not great camera"? For real??

Why are the Verge reviews given so much weight. I read it and thought it could have been one sentence: I am Nilay Patel and I prefer the Pixel camera. Someone else from the Verge tweeted out a couple photos saying it proved how much better the Pixel camera was yet most people that replied to it said the XS was better. I can’t take a review seriously that lists the iPhone camera as a “con”.
Any negative part. It's the usual from FFR. Once anything negative is said about iPhones they are automatically bias and getting paid off. It happens during every release.
I think a lot of people got on his case after that review and he hasn't been all that popular since. You remember that?
That was hilarious , wasn’t it?
I posted a link in Reddit about it a few posts up.
A couple of posters in another thread summed it up succinctly.
Hope they don’t mind that I’m reposting it here.

That bullet point on the new phones is pretty ridiculous haha. he definitely seems to hate on apple stuff
If you're going to turn an obvious joke into bias, there's no hope for you.I did.

I think just about anyone would immediately recognize the hyperbole as a joke. Honestly, it's really hard to tell if you're serious or trolling when you say he biased because he said he'd never forgive Apple for using his son's name, because it shows such a lack of awareness on your part. You asked me to provide an example of bias, I have provided plenty.
Is he now backtracking and calling it a joke?
Here is clown that turned the verge into a joke.

Hope for what there is a whole thread about it.

But you keep defending whatever it is your defending and such.

I'm not defending anything. I asked what he said was biased. If one of your examples is a joke about the name, I'm going to waste my time refreshing the UPS page instead of wasting it engaging with you.
I lose a lot of faith in the intelligence of my fellow man if any of you took the comment about his son seriously.
I mean, really ?![]()
I’ll go out on a limb and say the media aren’t the only ones.Could care less of video review. Media needs to learn to write again, so much easier than watching a vid
So he is a clown that shouldn’t be taken seriously....
That’s kind of the point, isn’t it.
I’ll go out on a limb and say the media aren’t the only ones.
He made a lighthearted joke about the name of the phone being the same as his sons name. That has zero to do with the seriousness or validity of the review as a whole.
You’re way off base, calling somebody a clown because they made a small joke ?
I don’t even agree with some of the points made in the video, but that’s not the point.

My thoughts exactly !
The statement has predicated the review, now your saying it has no bearing on the review.
That’s bs.
I’m calling him a clown because he is acting like one, and as editor and chief of what they call an internet publication, I’m well within my right to call bias.
His Apple Watch review, the iPhone X review, and now this, all bias.
Not to mention the retraction by the verge on the pixel 2 score.
So which is it was he serious and should be taken seriously, or is he a clown and the Verges credibility, or lack there off, suffers from it
He can’t have his cake an eat it too.
So Which is it.
Any more comments?
