I after I saw edesignuk's picture I've been going insane!
At first when I saw that apple came out with ipod nano I was like 'what the hell did they do that for' and now I cant stop thinking about!! I have a blue ipod mini myself that I bought not to long ago and when I saw how much nicer the black ipod nano looks beside the ipod mini I was like 'DAMN!'.
i want one so bad :( but I love my blue ipod mini dearly :( maybe if I just drop it a couple of times...... ;)

I know how you feel! I saw the nano in-store for the first time today. I AM IN LOVE!

Looooooooovvvveeeeeeee

I started asking if "one could fall off the back of the truck and into my front yard" if there was a "two-fer special.. someone buys one, and I get mine for 50 cents" if there were any open-box Nanos...

ooohhhh, I want... So appletastic... <3 <3

the 3rd pic looks like it doesn't have a screen at all! :p

I like it.... Im going to the apple store today!!! I cant wait!!! I might just buy one right then and there!

The black ones look soo sweet. I *might* just have to pick one of these up. I just bought a 4G 20gb a few months ago. I do NOT need a nano. I do NOT need a nano. I do NOT need a nano..... :D

I suppose this should go in the Drunk Thread, but I'm too lazy (and drunk) to find it right now...

Finally found someone to go with me to the Coldplay concert tonight (which was AWESOME... if you have the means, I highly recommend going to see it)... a very cute girl named Caitlin (10/10 on my scale... much cuter than I probably can handle). We hit it off quite well, but after the concert was over and she went home, I hit the neighborhood watering hole... where a couple of guys (including a bartender whom I trust) informed me that she's MARRIED, but doesn't wear a wedding ring. Argh. I hope they're just yanking my chain.

Gah. PLEASE let them have been wrong.

Most informative post in this thread, I will go out an purchase a nano in the morning!!!!

Just jesting :D

I went to my local Apple store and held the Nano today. Unbelievable if you ask me. Makes my 40GB iPod Photo feel like a total brick, ancient technology by comparison.

Dang that's purdy! How is it in terms of picking up fingerprints and scratches?
I can't speak for the white (I assume it's like the "gigantic" white iPods... ;)), but the black nano is an absolute magnet for fingerprints, streaks, etc. I love it, but it will show prints no matter how careful you are. As far as scratches: the back is, as far as I can tell, the same material as normal iPods, so I'd assume it's as scratchable (i.e., very), sad to say. The shiny metal looks nice, but I wish they'd switch to something "rougher" to make it more resistant to scratching - or at least make scratches less visible.

It's going to be a long wait for those nano tubes....

And, as far as sound goes: my 4GB nano sounds as good as my Shuffle, and a bit better than my 4G 40GB, but, in the overall scheme of things, all iPods sound, IMHO, roughly as good as each other - you buy them for carry-ability, capacity, and coolness, not quality. The quality is good - certainly good enough for me - but not audiophile. And, at least to my ears, the standard headsets make them all sound the same - better 'phones (or connected speakers) are needed to detect a difference.

whats the white thing inbetween the headphones and the headphone cover things???
Dock adapter - lets you dock your nano in a standard dock. Coolness. (cheap part, though, pretty flimsy - but good enough)

Ah, but glue ten 4GB nanos together to get the same capacity, and the 40GB doesn't look so bad. ;)

My mom would take one look at it and say... What in the world is that thing for? I can hear it now, "Does it light cigarettes? Because if it does you should not have it because smoking is very very bad!!!"

She does have a computer and learned how to use it. Not bad for some one who draws Social Security and never touched a computer in her life before I bought her a new eMac. She never had the money to buy me anything expensive so she was not as cool as your mom, but I still love her.
