sorry to say i strongly dissagree the Iclear is what i currently own along with a rebel coming soon and i'd have to say the iclear isnt a design oriented case but when it comes to scratches and drops it does its job well thats its main focus.

What are you disagreeing with? You're saying it ISN'T a rip-off?

I have not used the RebelTouch case yet but I can tell just by looking at that it is tons better than the iClear not only in design but also protection. The silicone-like (whatever it is) protective inner casing is more likely to spread out the impact than that egg shell of a plastic case on the iClear, which from what I hear is also more likely to SCRATCH your iPod touch.

Yes, the iClear DOES do it's job but it should be doing it for LESS THAN 25 dollars. Again, that RebelTouch case comes with the same stuff and more for the same price! I am merely advising anyone who is too desperate to wait and might be thinking about the iClear.

I think the RebelTouch is slick looking.
I wish I could use it with an armband or a belt clip.
I'd hate to have 2 different cases for one iPod.

I put my order in for the Rebel case

So has anyone actually got their grubby little mits on this thing yet? Just curious for a review. Peace out.

I got the Digital Lifestyle Outfitters Action Jacket for iPod touch. It's for the 1st generation but it works perfectly for the 2nd. It is $25-30 at B&M stores but I got it for $4.98 shipped to my door from a place called OverstockDealz through their storefront on PriceGrabber.com.

Greetings all. Just my first .02.

I've always used the Contour Showcase cases for my ipods. My 4G still looks brand new inside that case despite some rough handling over the years.

Appears to be clear polycarbonate top and back with a rubberized edge band. Protects well in drops too. I got one for my touch 2G, which was designed for the 1G, or course, so the volume was unable to be changed on the side, and there was a .5mm gap on the sides, but, it still felt great- very safe and solid, and I wanted to keep it until they came out with the 2G version, but the return window was closing, so back it went to Apple. I think this deserves consideration as a case- once they come out with the redesign for the 2G of course.

Yes it adds a bit of bulk, and does nothing form the screen- which depending on your feelings about screen protectors can be addressed or not separately. The connector cover is also a rubbery material, and since it actually plugs up into the connectors, it needs a decent fingernail to pull them open to attach headphones or USB connector, but this design does seem to provide very good protection to this area. Finally, I've never found any belt clip that I would trust, (love handles suck) so even though this is an option on this line of cases, I don't use it. Bottom line is I would rather add a bit of bulk for peace of mind protection.

And for the record, I have NO connection with any manufacturer or products for any piece of equipment whatsoever. This being said, I also love the look of the RebelTouch, so I'm definitely going to check it out too before I commit.

I finally got sick of waiting on these damn things to come out, so I just picked up the Belkin black and red case at Best Buy. It is taking forever.

I just got mine and it was damaged in transit. The shipping is pretty poor on this; they dropped it in a non-padded envelope with no packing material. The stand was broken, the dock adapter was broken, the case itself was bent, there is a puncture in the rubber portion of the case, and the screens have dings in them. But the headphone adapter was undamaged.

I've asked for a replacement, will post when there is news. If they don't handle this the right way, I'll take it up with PayPal, the bank, my Congressman, the Pope...

I picked up this DLO case at Bestbuy for $30. I've been using my iPod Touch when I workout. Works great with a built in screen protector and access to the Volume controls, lock and home button.

I've only seen a few 2nd Generation cases my 1st Generation case didn't fit well. I was glad to find this one.

I almost bought that case last week but the biggest problem with it is the plastic that protects the screen begins to build up condensation and sticks to the screen, not to mention it shows scratches and dirt after nominal wear.

I have seen it build up a bit of condensation that is true.

Do you mean the case show's scratches and dirt? If so that isn't really a problem since I got it mainly for working out, that's the only time it is in the case now.

Now when I'm not working out my iPod Touch spends a lot of time naked or in the most useless case of all the iPod Sock. :)

Oh, I just meant that the plastic on the front of the case that protects the screen tends to scratch easily taking away the beauty of the case. If you're using it only for workouts then it's no issue. I just remember buying cases for my cell phones that used that used that soft plastic to protect the screen and they stuck to the phones glass and showed wear.

It's so hard to find the "perfect" case for the new iPod Touch. :)

As a follow up, the staff at SwitchEasy responded and have said they will be sending out a replacement, no questions asked. They sound like good people to work with.

The touch rebel looks freakin awesome! I wish they had an option of changing the rib colors. I would like the pure black back and have the ribs cage red. I can't wait for friday to order this (payday) ^^
