I almost bought that case last week but the biggest problem with it is the plastic that protects the screen begins to build up condensation and sticks to the screen, not to mention it shows scratches and dirt after nominal wear.

Yeah I've read about the plastic sticking to the screen as well.

HLDan, what do you use, or what other cases are you considering?

I'm almost thinking, just get a Nano for exercising already.

I got tired of figuring out what to do to protect my new iPod Touch from scratches and shock so I bought the Sena case from the Apple store. It's very well padded and slim and doesn't scratch. It's a great case but of course it's not the "perfect" solution.

It's nice looking for a pouch and it even has a clip.
Do you think that clip would work on shorts for jogging okay?
For that price, the leather must be nice and soft.

Thanks for answering.

so i have so far a griffin iclear and a rebel touch and i love them both but i like the rebel touch more but i hate the all black color im waiting to purchase the cherry and celestrial when they come out even possibly the monstra and also leaning to trying the speck pixleskin when it is available again in speriment color and even the griffin nu form

The Sena pouch is well worth the money they charge for it. I was a bit hesitant but after I opened it and felt the high quality leather and how nicely snug the iPod Touch sat inside of it I was sold! The clip fits very tight so it would be very ideal for when wearing shorts for jogging.
I wear in on my sweat pants and stays very secure and adds very little weight.:) The best part is that it fits both the 1st gen and the second gen iPod Touch, that's ideal so if someone upgrades they don't have to toss away this case.

Got my Switcheasy on Tuesday

LOVE this case. Even the wife thinks it looks great. The protective clear screens were a bust, but I'm hearing that's the case with most of 'em out there. The problem is any air pocket or bubble. They really can't be edged or smoothed out.

But the case itself is a perfect backing and protective shell. The rubber stopper for the input is good too, although I can see me losing it pretty easily. Really glad I purchased the Switcheasy. FWIW

Griffin FlexGrip

I bought these two cases for my 2g iPod Touch. They look cool and don't cost too much.

As an update, I received a replacement case fro my damaged Rebel Touch. It was, however, a case for a 3G iPhone instead. :(

I ordered the iClear case the other week from Griffin for the 2g Touch. They came in stock last week and I received mine today. All the new buttons are very easily accessible through the cuts in the case yet adds adequate protection against pressing them by accident. They did include a nice screen protector (cling type) as well, however, there was only one in the box and I failed to get it on without contamination. Aside from the air bubble I got, it was darn near invisible! I contacted them about the problem and in the same day I received a response that they would send out a couple replacements free of charge. How is that for customer service?!? ^_^ I suggested in my contact they should consider putting extra ones with the packaging in case others have similar difficulties. No word if they will, but they seem willing to help if it does go wrong. Kudos to Griffin.

Quick Question...

Hello Gents and Gals. I just got the 2 Gen. 32 Gig iPod Touch on Wednesday and picked up a pretty cheezy hard plastic case to go along with it. They didn't have a great selection at the store and i'm going to shop around and get something worthwhile. I just didn't want to damage my iPod meanwhile I find it. ANYHOW, the case came with a screen protector and I tried applying it without much luck. The real problem is that as I took it off it seemed to have pulled another piece of plastic already on the screen off and left some bubbles underneath. I got rid of all but one of them. Is this second piece the FACTORY screen protector? Are you guys/gals taking this one off completely and replacing it with another protector? This layer was proving pretty difficult to take off so I stopped and then wondered whether it is even MEANT to be taken off. Sorry for the lame question but I don't to screw up my brand new toy. Oh by the way, I think it rocks. Thanks in advance...

I just went ahead and ordered the Rebel Touch. It does seem like the best bet for the money. How long did it take to get yours? I can't wait to receive and put mine on.

im looking for a ipod touch 2nd gen case for my ipod. i really dont care too much if its leather or plastic and i dont want to pay an arm and a leg for it. but heres the catch i also want it to have a built in screen protecter (not an adhesive). thanks all

I just bought the Belkin Sonic Wave (I think that is what its called). Its red and black on the back, silicon. It was on sale this week at bestbuy.com or in store for $25 regular $30, but its only the red version. I think all of the cases are overpriced, especially $25 for a piece of silicon, but its the only case I liked and I love it now. I'm getting a $4 screen protector off of eBay so around $30 for my protection.

I bought a 1st gen 8GB iPt last week in a pawn shop, $80 because they couldn't get it functional - I knew how to hard reset it to get it back to life but I wasn't gonna tell 'em. :p

So after owning it for a few days I realized I had to have that mic input for some stuff I plan to do (I do audio production work) so I ended up selling the 1st gen iPt last night for $175 - PROFIT!!! The Underpants Gnomes would be proud of me...

I then headed to Walmart at 2AM to grab a 2nd gen 8GB iPt and I'm happy with it for the moment, and I'm continuing to use the iFrogz Treadz case I had for the 1st gen iPt. It's not even loose inside this thing, but at the back corners it's a bit "spacey" because the 2nd gen model obviously is more rounded off. I think I'm going to fold up a few layers of toilet paper and layer the inside of the Treadz case thicker in the corners to fill out that "space" - I'm actually considering taking a piece of Styrofoam or thick foam padding and molding it into a very thin layer that's thicker in the corners to keep the 2nd gen iPt snug in the Treadz.

I'm not a big fan of "slider" cases meaning any type of case where you have to insert it or take it back out. The sheer action of creating that friction sooner or later is going to get a dust particle or dirt or even sand in there and the next thing you know, scratch scratch scratch... I prefer a case like the Treadz that is put on and it stays on, I have no reason to ever remove it again once it's put on. I don't use docks, so I know a lot of people need those "slider" cases so they can remove the iPt totally to put on the dock. That's just not for me I guess. Too much possibility of damage overall with anything besides a truly enveloping case that doesn't need to be removed. Those Griffin FlexGrips above are pretty cool and do that nearly perfectly.

No need to cut holes either as the layout is basically still the same for both iPt models; I'm actually considering trying to close the Sleep/Wake hole to keep dust and dirt out, perhaps cover the Home button as well. I don't know why iFrogz didn't do that to begin with, actually. It would make this case 100% perfect in my opinion, whereas with the cutouts presently I'd give it a 97%... love this case, I really do.

How can anyone not think this is cool? :)

Lol, that is for the iPhone :p

Hahaha, I'm so stupid. I should have spent $30 on an ugly piece of red and black silicon! :p
