Like the title says are you guys gonna updated on the first day itself to the iPad OS i.e. Tomorrow 09/24/2019 ? or are you guys gonna wait ? Does it make any sense in waiting for some days ?

I’m not. I’m waiting to see some screenshots of iPad OS on the Mini. From the earlier ones, it isn’t for me at this time.

I personally would wait a bit to give them time to fix the most jarring bugs. I have used iOS 12 almost a year now and I am pretty sure that I can manage another month or so without issues. I would more annoyed to use iPadOs with bugs than to stay a bit longer on iOS 12.

So yeah I will wait a bit and see the general feedback before deciding to upgrade.

For guys who would point it out, my title had a typos I meant iPad OS and not iOS 13 😆

It really makes no sense to wait for updating even if you do Apple is not gonna listen to you individually and make changes for you.

Apple would not make changes for me specifically. You are right about this. However I did not mean that. I meant general bugs that not affect just me but the general population using iPads. I might be wrong but based on the keynote iPadOS is supposed to bring a lot of features and I am just kind of sensing it would not be that stable in its first version. I would not be surprised if it takes about 2 months or something like that to stabilize that version.

I am not talking about bugs in the new features that iPadOS is supposed to bring. I am talking about regression bugs that might impact my usage. For example I kind of expect changes in the Files app (due to the external devices support). Now Files app is buggy as it is, I would not want to experience even more bugs so I would prefer to wait and see how it behaves. Same for Reminders and Notes apps. I use them enough to not want to experience issues.

I obviously cannot prove my feelings. It is just my Intuition. You might be right that it is not worth the wait but I honestly lose nothing in waiting. There is also the fact that my company issues company iPhones and iPads anyway and because of this we do our internal testing. So at the least I will wait for my company internal tests to pass before upgrading.

That sounds like a Plan ! Goodluck !!

Thanks! I assume based on your answer that you would not wait :).

I was trying to find out what is the general consensus here will take a call based on that. But my patience is runing very thin. Cannot wait like 1-2 months to update !!

Been on beta cycle for so long now. I don’t see the point of keeping waiting for bugs being ironed out, and will update to iOS 13.1 universally tomorrow. Maybe I will drop off the beta train a bit and “wait for next service”. 🤣

Can some of you cats post up a good video for the laymen on what to expect with the new os? Ive not been following the development of this (I’m an android user that’s uses JUST the pro) so I’m totally in the dark with what to expect. Thank you in advance.

Makes sense! Especially if there are specific features you have been waiting for. For me it was kind of weird. When I watched the keynote I was rather anxious to try them out. I remember even wondering how I would wait almost 3 months for them to come. I am not into beta and all that because I am new iOS user and I don't feel comfortable doing that. Plus the iPhone is a company one and I would not experiment with it. I have only one other device and I would not want to risk it. So yeah no betas for me.

Anyway back to the point. The thing is that I had to wait 3 months anyway and I had to train myself to do so so now that it is here I am like whatever. I don't feel the anxiety anymore. I guess I am good in training myself.

So would you recommend someone who is not on even iPad OS Beta to wait for the bugs to iron out that might just take more than a couple of weeks actually maybe a month also !

Got it already on beta but will be updating my other iPad to then likely sell it....will keep my 12.9 instead
