Why don't you go read a few reviews on the updated diamond matrix in the note 3 display is.

It hit whiter pure white then the 5s or any iPhone to date and was also brighter

You presume to know my level of experience? Wow... anyway, hey - enjoy whatever you buy - I am not condemning you, I just see a lot of hyped up enthusiasm based on little evident rationale. It seems you are being drawn in by bright shiny shiny, and hardware marketing buzzwords, go for it - feel free :)

I think there are some nice android phones out there besides the samsung phones but they are pretty nice, typing and playing games on a larger screen is more pleasant

Um no go to display mate web site that us one of the best testing in biased sites around that specifically tests screens and see what they say about the newer amoled screens Samsung is making.

The gs4 even beat out the iPhone 5 in color accuracy

I buy things, I don't get sold to, but thanks... I'll pass on Samsung, forever.

I'm not convinced that listening to the "ooohs" and "ahhs" of the average consumer is the best foundation for a purchase decision; consumers are like magpies - the more it shines, the faster they peel off the banknotes

I agreed! (Looking at my Iphone) ;)

If you've never tasted prime steak before, a MacDonalds cheeseburger might also taste "amazing".

As someone only uses Iphone, you would see it is "amazing" too!

Ironically, your Iphone still has Samsung stuff in there! :D

I don't have an iPhone... OR a Samsung.

Any fab lab can make ARM chips and panels; you think Samsung are special? Not one bit. ARM is licenced by Acorn Research Machines, Cambridge UK - Samsung are but one of many ARM makers. LCDs are two a penny, available elsewhere.

Samsung are parts suppliers to Apple, making Apple's designs for them according to Apple specs, merely as a supplier. Do you think they have a say in what does what and goes where? No chance.

Samsung has over 30% global marketshare and double that of Apple globally. It shrinks in the US as Apple is the most popular there but like 30% vs 43% Apple.

Alot of people have been getting Samsung long before the OP's came to realization with it. Asia is the most populated continent. CHINA has like 7x more people than US. Apple has ignored the biggest economy for years.

But, but, but, but......you don't luv Samsung, so you must be an apple fanboy......or maybe an HTC fanboy. I mean, one must always chose a side and if you don't luv Samsung you must be fanboy of those others.

Koreans now were like the Japanese in consumer electronics from the 80's/90's. Basically the best Japanese engineers moved into other companies after Japan went into recession. You can read the article of Sony being a ghost in Japan.

Samsung basically took the role of Nokia in the cell phone market catered to the masses. Except unlike Nokia, they actually concentrated on marketing in the US. Nokia always ignored the US and focused in Europe, Asia, and many developing countries when it came to their flagships. Nokia was the top manufacturer from 1998-2011 overtaking Motorola globally but was never a market leader in the US. Samsung invested on marketing and now targets all markets. Rich countries or developing ones. And Samsung basically took the role of market leader in TV's that were once dominated by Sony and many other Japanese manufacturers like Sharp and Panasonic.

Yeah, at this point it's either iPhone or Galaxy.

Still, when it's crunch time most people RELY on the iPhone.

I prefer the iphone, but the iphone is ahead because of marketing and word of mouth. Do I think the iphone is superior in its operation? For me, yes. It also helps that my wife and some of my friends use iPhones

That being said, other phones are just as good devices, and it comes down to personal preference. Apple and Samsung may dominate right now, but the lg g2 really gave lg a boost.... So if the g3 is as popular as the g2... It won't be such a two player field anymore.

Of course... I bet the new iphone will be popular, and if it had a bigger screen, more so. I know of the screen is bigger, I'll get one.

Interesting, when it's crunch time, I rely on the carrier providing me service to ensure I can connect... not the phone itself as they all serve the same basic function. Everything else is preference.

I love my Note 3 had several iPhone before but after experiencing the power and capabilities of Android I'll never go back. The OS is IMO the iPhone biggest weakness.

Samsung gadget spams all year every year....the odds of you seeing people with Samsung phones are as high as seeing people with iPhones [All models in general].

One thing is certain, only those that are ignorant of the problems actually remain satisfied with Samsung smartphones after a long time use....the most customer satisfaction always does and will go to the iPhone as long as it continues to be the "Best iPhone Yet" year after year.

If folk are ignorant of these problems you mention to the point that they are satisfied with Samsung devices.. does that suggest that they are maybe not are major.as you are trying to make them out to be?..

I'm positive the problems are there, people generally just ignore them and that is a fact, problems may not me exactly major, but the fact that they exist is good enough for me to say that they are there and these aren't pointed out by me because I am not a samsung user [have tried all phones though], I hear them from those that use Samsung smartphones on regular basis.

At the end of the day, what ever floats your boat, go for it and enjoy :) because you asked a question in your thread, I felt like I wanted to answer :)
