what is the point?

i was replying to 'thinner/longer life battery happens because performance is not a priority'.

longer battery life? hey, at least that's something you'll notice as a user.

'performance'? most hardware outperforms most software these days..

looking for performance enhancements in cpus and gpus is small time.. very little performance is going to come out of that outdated paradigm..

when i think of performance gains, i want to work less hours.. i'm not going to get that from a gpu/cpu.. (as in- i could wake up tmmr with a computer which is 100,000x faster than my computer today.. and i'm still going to do the same stuff in the same amount of time tmmr.)

way better places to seek improvements if you're aiming to improve performance.. way better.

I laughed really hard at the "fat macbook airs" comments. I don't think that guy has ever owned (or even used) an rMBP. The screen, IO, graphics, and CPU are all considerably more advanced than what the MBA offers.
