They'd be able to have ads keep us occupied for months and months what with the pathetic 2.0 software problems, the Mobile Me disaster and the multitude of problems with the iPhone 3G itself.

Terrible. But of course Apple will continue with it's mantra of "it just works", spreading the propaganda further and further.

there has been no bigger screw up than vista and the xbox 360
mobile me and 2.0 bugs are very temporary, as for 3G problems, they seem to be very isolated

My 3G iPhone just works. Quick Back-ups, good 3G receptions, no cracks. Did have some keyboard lag and slow contact response but those have been fixed in 2.0.1.

Mobile Me had a few problems for what a week, 10 days? Vista has been out how long and still doesn't work? Not a very accurate comparison.

His name may be the same as the C.E.O. of Apple, but don't feed the trolls.

All we have to do is say "Xbox 360" and we've shut up anyone intelligent.

why is he a troll? because he points out what could be an effective strategy for MS to pursue against Apple? This forum is so Apple biased it's funny (although I'm not surprised in the least). I just wish more people would be objective on topics like this...for instance be able to see how MS can use Apple's mishaps as of late for their advantage

Dear OP,

You're beat.

Sincerely,
Thread participators

seriously why does the 360 factor in at all? yea in truth MS has had more mishaps than Apple recently but if MS decides to exploit this issue about the trouble Apple has had recently, many people will get the connotation that Apple does suck.

Heck, just like how Apple's Mac vs PC ads arent "exactly" true. I mean, I am just as productive on a windows box and have just as many hangups as I do on a mac.

Everyone knows if you say it enough through advertisements, people will begin to think the ad is true..... when in fact its not. Get my point?

Beat by what exactly?

iPhone 3G's plastic casing cracking for a large proportion of people, stuck pixels appearing all the time, battery problems....

The Mobile me disaster, nuff said. Did you finally get it right $teve? Really?

2.0 software, I don't have hours to list all the problems in that buggy piece of crap. I'm amazed no one has alerted the press about Apple's complete and utter cock up with it's 3 big products.

But hey the mac fanboys will keep spreading the gospel about how things "just work" with Apple, and the delusions will continue

Vista works excellent for me. And it worked excellent prior SP1. Why? because I have good enough hardware to handle it. As for the 360... well yeah thats a piece of ****. I'm considering selling mine for a Wii.

While I love Apple it's hard for me to truly be in love with them because I'm on my third iPhone 3G.

Why would anyone want to copy those ads? They're horrible and they attempt exploit things that are currently completely invalid arguments. Apple's been pushing those ads in a very snobbish manner.

I actually agree with the OP in a way. Fanboys on this forum can ditch Microsoft as much as they please, but Apple's performance with their matters last month was disgusting.

If "microsoft" made 'I'm a PC' ads, it'd just be one more way they're copying Apple ;)

Haha. So true.
Since purchase, the worst thing that my I've experienced is my iPhone 3G restarting, and thats only happened like 3 or 4 times. I haven't had ANY problems since the 2.1 release. I also know more than enough people who also have iPhones and haven't had any serious problems either.
BTW, I actually like the Xbox 360. lol. It took them a while, but with the new hardware that runs cooler, the 360 hasn't really had many issues to my knowledge.

CAUTION!

You have entered into the land of extreme, die-hard Apple fanboys. They will trash Microsoft for anything that they can think of, even if it makes no sense.

To sum that up, since 360 wasn't 100% perfect (I have no idea where the failure is in this, either), we all need to trash MS...

How is the Xbox 360 a screw up? It sold 20 MILLION units. Please explain. If anything, your post is a fail.

Microsoft vs Apple
Lets see here, I have had a Vista based laptop since September. I have never had to restore it.
I have had an Iphone 3G for two weeks that has had to be restored 3 times now.

Point 1 for Microsoft

Windows allows third party developers to do as they please.
Apple says - only if we allow it.

Point 1 for Microsoft

Internet Explorer (I am talking Windows mobile) loads Flash based websites
Safari doesn't

Point 1 for Microsoft

Microsoft can play Divx, Xvid, AVI, MP4, Quicktime
Apple only Quicktime

Point 1 for Microsoft

Windows mobile comes with pocket Word, Excel, Powerpoint
Apple - we can read only

Point 1 for Microsoft

So far its 5 points Microsoft, 0 for Apple.

BTW, what is so wrong with Vista anyway???? It works every bit as good as all my Windows XP based systems?

Granted I love my Iphone, but it does have its limitations. The video codec thing is my biggest peeve. Its a video Ipod!!!! Allow the most common video codecs. I know there is one being created for jailbroken Iphones which brings up another point you SHOULDN'T have to jailbreak to do common things. Even the Iphone doesn't include themes - whats up with that????? Oh thats right, Apple products are always boring looking. Itunes, Quicktime, Safari. If I could I would bypass Itunes and use Rhapsody anyday.

Sorry to rant, but I hate these people that thing Apple is the best thing out there. It still doesn't come close to being the market leader.
