Maybe Apple's fed up with leaks and hardcore tightened up security?

Perversely i think they`ve been slacker than usual with the magnetometer info, youtube upload and camcorder UI leaking in the 3.0 builds.

You`d a thunk that they`d tag everything new that wasn`t going to be needed by external developers and purged it before release.

Makes me think they might be playing the rumour game on the sly.

M.

There is this thing called an NDA. If people don't conform to it, that's a different matter.

They can be sure an NDA or no NDA won`t stop some idiot from showing it to someone else and so on.

If they don`t want something getting out, they could strip all reference to it, certainly any UI relating to it.

I'm a little unclear as to what this actually means:

"It runs underclocked around 530 MHz at the same performance as the current processor which runs at 400 MHz."

It is a different processor running at equivalent speed compared to the old one?

I'm just guessing, but he might mean that it's underclocked to run at 530mhz perhaps with the same battery drain as the current chip.

what ever happened to the element of surprise and wonder for a new product to come out?

the internet started providing people with tons of sources to get the most up to date info about almost anything....thus provoking curiosity more then before, when information wasn't as readily available, or as easy to access.

As far as I remember, there were close to zero details leaked about the first iPhone.

I'd guess that most people who work for Apple really enjoy it and want to stay there.

i'm sure they are. and i'm sure they have - but that isn't going to stop the slew of people working for Apple from telling. Alls it takes is 1 person

you typed a single letter and a word, i assume it's a question as you typed a question mark but i'm not too sure what the question is or what it means.

I think he is asking: "does this annoy you?"

That looks like the same material as the Incase Slider. Huh.

Is Incase associated with Apple in some way, like an in-store brand (equivalent to Target's Archer Farms brand)? They seem to make the most Apple-like cases; they never leak their cases, yet they seem to be among the first on the scene when a new model is introduced.

I just got off the phone with an AT&T rep who confirmed that there will be a new iPhone out in June. Whether she was stating that based on the rumors going around or if she actually has intel from within AT&T, I don't know.

FYI, I called to ask if there would be the same upgrade policy in effect for this new iPhone as there was last time (oringinal iPhone owners were allowed to upgrade to the 3G before the usual 14-month upgrade policy). She said "I don't know about that yet, but you should know within the next few weeks. I know that the new iPhone will be released in June so you should hear about the upgrade policy soon."

If that's true, her supervisor will say to her:

In the words of Mr. Trump, "You're fired!"

Why would the iPhone be any different than any other subsidized cell phone they sell?

The original iPhone wasn't a subsidized cell phone - it was six hundred dollars.

Huh? Did u read my post. I was calling AT&T about the upgrade policy for the new iPhone due out next month in regards to CURRENT iPhone customers. She. The 3G came out, they let Or iPhone customers upgrade to the 3G outside of the "normal" upgrade policy, which is that you have to wait 14 mo the before upgrading.

My call was meant to ensure that I could sell my 3G now/soon, and still be able to get the new one when it comes out, like I did before (sold my Org iPhone 3 days before 3G release for $300, then was able to upgrade to the 3G 16GB for $300). This time, tho, I'll be getting $400 for the 3G. ;)

I guess I'm not following you ....

If someone bought the 3G at 199 or 299 - they're eligible for an upgrade before purchasers of other subsidized smart phones? Is that what you're saying?

The original iPhone was unique in that it wasn't subsidized; leaving people free to get a subsidized phone whenever they wanted.

is today cryptic reply day?

they're out in force.

Do you have comprehension issues?

You said that you "didn't understand the question."

And he replied "Sure you don't", suggesting that you did realize what the original reply meant. This isn't profound stuff here, guy.
