Zero studders on my note 5.

I do love package disabler. I have been using the heck out of my phone for 4.5hrs and I'm at 94% battery still!
My friend said the same thing. He just doesn't notice them, which is fine. But coming from a moto x or iPhone I know what a smooth ui looks like and the note 5 just isn't as smooth as ios or stock Android. Fact.

Nope. I even used package disabler to get rid of most of the bloat and it was still laggy coming from an iPhone. Don't get me wrong the hardware is great but if I'm putting down 800 for a phone I want it buttery smooth, no stutters.

For example go into hangouts and just try scrolling. It's common knowledge phones running touchwiz just stutter, maybe you don't notice because all you have used are Samsung phones. But like I said the hardware is 1st class and if you can live with a stuttering flagship phone more power to you.

I'm talking about it compared to a nexus I will video my gs6 using hangouts for you also

New updated look needs an update and should not of left beta.

New update is stupid. Why that sign in thing taking up bottom 1/5th screen as soon as you launch for example.

I literally uninstalled the latest update 35 seconds after using it lol

They some times go a step forward and 3 back lol

But I'll give Google props for chrome browser. It went from my worst broswer and absolutely hated it to the best broswer and fastest scrolling experience over any other browser for me.

Chrome has come a long way and its the default broswer on my Verizon gs6

Thanks for looking into it. The thing is on my moto x pure no stuttering at all.

Maybe samsung suffers from the same issue as i have.

When i have an iPhone, everything else sucks and is pointless.

When i have android i have to justify why i didn't buy iPhone.

Same with Mac/PC... The tech world is a funny one.

Also iPhone 6+ to Galaxy S5 - Changeable battery and waterproof. i notice no stutter. Sites on chrome loaded faster on the S5. I wouldn't change my S5 for any iPhone.

I have no idea where i will go next. I like removable batteries... the waterproofing is a feature i'd like to keep too.

You're right, I should clarify myself. There is not much wrong with Google services or Android running on Samsung devices (apart from OS upgrades). My point about hardware and software is the same one Apple makes every time: that they can optimize everything because all their phones use the same technology.

Google's software and OS is not ruining Samsung's hardware, but Samsung phones will never reach their full potential in the same manner as iPhones because Android cannot be optimized for every single device. Perhaps if Samsung had started with Tizen back in the days of the first Galaxy S phone, then they could say the same thing like Apple.

I think there is a fine line between optimization and limitation when talking about iOS. If Android was as closed in as iOS, could the same argument be made?

Probably not, but that's a good point. There's pros and cons for everything, it's up to people to figure out what works for them.

Lol, Samsung is a funny company. Their hardware is top of the line, but their marketing department sucks ass nowadays. I remember the commercials they made about Apple having non-removable batteries, etc. then they go make the phones similar to the iPhone. Once Apple adds wireless charging next year, I wonder what they will say then?

Respect to Apple for not even responding to the 4904934 amount of Samsung ads they have put out about them.

Apple does not need to respond and go down in their level. Not worth their time. Deep inside Samsung is envy of Apple's success.

We already know what Samsung will copy next ;). Their s***t version of 3DTouch. You can count on that!!!

It actually makes perfect sense to me.

They know their biggest competition is not Apple but the plethora of other Android phones. They differentiate themselves by their software experience and things people expect from Samsung & Touchwiz.

Hence "it's not just a phone" (clearly referring the myriad of other devices vying for your attention & cash) "it's a galaxy" emphasis on their software experience & hardware associated with the "additional reaffirmation by using Galaxy" brand.

I honestly can't see the confusion.

The thing is, the ad was displaying wireless charging, which isn't software based. They also clearly displayed the iphone in their ad as a shot to Apple, not to other OEMs. While I usually like Samsung’s ads, this one I don’t like.

It did succeed in getting people to talk about it, so at least that worked.

Oh well that's different, I was just working out meaning of the wording - I hadn't actually seen the advert.

It will be called S-touch lol

But to be serious for a moment, I feel like 3D touch (or force touch) will be a feature that if others copy it, they will look very desperate, much like what happened with multi-touch and Siri (Touch-ID as well, but others had fingerprint sensors before Apple).

Distasteful ad in my opinion. We're talking about it, but the average consumer probably thinks it's stupid.

Just like apple finally having 4k recording and higher megapixel cameras right?

Or when they go oled and 2k-4k screens?

We can agree to disagree here. The Note 5 is every bit as smooth as the iPhone 6. We have and use both.

Of course Samsung is envious of Apple's success (what company isn't?). Their ad clearly exemplifies that.

While Samsung didn't invent 4K video recording or higher pixel counts, the same can't be said about Apple's multi-touch, Siri, and 3D touch.

On a different note, it's interesting that phones are finally catching up to entry and mid-level PC's and Macs. At some point, more CPU/GPU power and more RAM will be pointless. Either that, or PC's will need to up their game in specs!

Lol those are basic features that Apple is just late on implementing. It's not even the same comparison. Samsung didn't come up with those features. We are talking about unique features that Apple implemented (TouchID, Siri, soon 3DTouch) that Samsung is quick to copy but doesn't do it as good.

Appl we didn't invent 3d touch force touch or whatever marketing term they are calling it. It's patented 1999 technology from NextInput one of the suppliers of this technology to Apple.

So was Apple envious of the PC's success then too for all those PC vs Apple adverts it had made and aired??? Or let me guess that's different because it's APPLE doing it.

You are attempting to see something that isn't there, you are reading far too much into a commercial advertising programme, well actually then again you are doing exactly what it's designed to, you are talking and thinking about it and the product advertised.

No, it's not different because APPLE is doing it. Of course they were (and are) envious of the success of the PC, that's why they made those ads. But that was then, and this is now. We're talking about Samsung's ads (in a technology website no-less, which the average consumer does not read).

There's no problem with me talking and thinking about the ad and the product advertised, I have to because I watched it and wanted to express my thoughts on it as well as get others' thoughts on it
