Also keep in mind that the XML versions of Thor, Iron Man 2, and First Avenger aren't mapped to the Disney iTunes Extras versions but rather the older Paramount versions.

Up to 150 films now.

Dreading having to start getting all the Disney ones now....

Nice! Now comes the hard part of Disney considering those prices are usually higher. Definitely check out the BR forum. I often find people willing to sell the full code there. You can then go sell off part of it to make some money back.

I'm at around:

303 UV
40 DMA
49 iTunes

There's some overlap in iTunes and UV as I've re-purchased some things to have them in UV. I've basically completed everything I wanted. Now just getting leftover scraps and new releases if they are cheap. Instead of going hours between buying a code I'm not going days :D

I'm at 53 iTunes and 18 DMA. It's when you have a sequel at $1 and the original with no code that causes the biggest problems. I got Star Trek: Into the Darkness for $1 and now Star Trek 2009 is on sale on iTunes for $10. Can't bring myself to spend $10 when I'm used to $1 movies, yet the other part of me wants to complete my collection cuz there is no HD code for Star Trek.

Yep, in the same boat. Will more than likely get it though.

one of the things i dislike about iTunes though is it doesn't let you stream your purchases over cellular .. only wifi

Were they mostly code purchases or mostly iTunes purchases? If the latter, that is $$$.

the latter but that was years ago .. haven't bought anything in a long time. Also it was mostly from enormous amounts of iTunes credit I was given as gifts over the years

Just when I thought I was slowing down...

The Best Buy exclusive Mission: Impossible steelbook comes with iTunes codes for all 5 movies. This might be the first time the first 3 have had codes for iTunes. Get them now while they are still selling these steelbooks because I can see these being hard to find soon.

isn't the first 4 movies solely in UV? Everyone seem to be selling the codes in that format.
It's also easy to get MI:5 for just a $1 for iTunes. A steal for a newly released movie.

I have over 45 movies now. Over half of them are Disney/Marvel titles which I'm glad I'm pretty much done collecting.

I bought a code for all 5 films for $10 so $2 a film.

MI:5 is everywhere (UV and iTunes) and it comes with a bonus code to redeem MI:1 through 4 as a UV movie (single movie redemption per bonus).

The Best Buy exclusive steelbook comes with 5 codes that have a UV redemption and an iTunes redemption. As far as I know, this is the only way to get MI:1 through 3 as an iTunes code. The regular MI:4 Blu-ray comes with UV and iTunes just like MI:5 so it's nothing special.

Unlike mass produced Blu-rays where some sellers can get tons of slips from rental stores or wherever, I can't see anyone buying the MI steelbook unless they are a hardcore fan. So I think these iTunes codes are gonna be super rare very quickly. I would try to get MI:1-3 as soon as you can.

Edit - It looks like the regular Mission: Impossible 5-Movie Collection also contains iTunes codes for 1-3. So it isn't as super rare as a Best Buy only exclusive, but still, I can see these codes drying up quickly since not everyone buys the collections.

Did you redeem it okay and is this iTunes? I know there was a bonus code that you can get any collection (MI, Godfather) from the Paramount store (bonus no longer works and the collection is UV only) but I didn't know there was a single iTunes code to get the whole MI collection.

It's already gotten that bad that I'm contemplating buying a $100 gift card so I can get the Harry Potter set - £20 cheaper in the US than here in the UK!
Don't know if you bought this already but the UK store now has the entire Harry Potter collection on sale for 25 pounds (like $40 USD). The regular price is 78 pounds.

Yep-they were 5 separate codes.

Yep-very annoying that they haven't gone on sale in the US yet (might not at all) as I don't want to have to switch accounts purely for Harry Potter films.

I haven't seen any marvel movie codes anywhere .. Are they hard to get in iTunes codes?

You really should have a Disney Movies Anywhere account and have it linked to various services (iTunes, Amazon, Google, Vudu, Microsoft). Disney codes are redeemed either through:

DMA codes = https://www.disneymoviesanywhere.com/
DC+ codes = http://www.digitalcopyplus.com/
XML codes = directly through the DMG and iTunes

Note that if you want points, you can buy a DC+ code and redeem through Amazon. Amazon doesn't have a direct redeem service. They instead give you Amazon credit to go buy the movie. By doing this, it's like a retail purchase and you get the DMR points.

You MUST have these accounts linked to your DMA account or else the movies won't show up on the other services.

In addition to what netnothing said, Marvel belongs to Disney. Disney uses DMA and DC+ so they don't specifically sell iTunes codes. When you buy from the forums, you are looking for either DC+ codes or DMA codes, you're not gonna see an "iTunes Disney code" but rather a DC+ or DMA which will "convert" to iTunes.

Good point, should have mentioned that. Also note that not ALL Marvel movies are Disney owned and distributed.

Disney does not distribute:
X-Men
Spiderman
Fantastic Four (old or new)
Punisher
Hulk

Basically Disney has the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) as DMA. the only movie in the MCU that is not DMA is The Incredible Hulk.

So for those movies about, you may find iTunes only codes.

If ever in doubt, check the DMA website.

Anyone have DMA Hercules in their iTunes library? I noticed that I now have duplicate copies in my iOS Videos app but it isn't a true duplicate. One has a 1997 date with iTunes Extras (which is release date of the movie) but the other has a 1999 date with no iTunes Extras.

I'm assuming the 1997 is the true copy and the 1999 is an older defunct version that is no longer sold in the iTunes Store but is now recognized in my iCloud because of DMA. Not a real biggie because I can just hide the duplicate but this literally appeared out of nowhere today.

Edit - So I found the culprit, there are 2 releases. This gives me hope that Disney will eventually just connect the Marvel Phase 1 XMLs with the iTunes Extras versions.

1997 - https://itunes.apple.com/us/movie/hercules/id763349752

1999 - https://itunes.apple.com/nz/movie/hercules/id206329625
