The IbEC_iBSS grabber worked but it put three TMP folders into my designated directory and not just one. There are two (the earliest) that are modified at exactly the same time.
Which one do I keep? Is there any way to tell?
If you do the dfu step it will have both IBEC and IBSS files in there. theres going to be a folder that pops up for 3 seconds when you first start the restore process and that the folder you need. It took me about 2hrs to grab the damn thing it so fast (because i had to wait for the phone to restore before i attempted it again) But this is the step the dev team suggests.

**NOTE: It seems like most are able to capture both their iBEC and iBSS files in DFU mode. To try it just in DFU mode skip steps 4 through 6
I have a white 32, a black 32, and a black 16.
Do I have to do this procedure for each of them separately or just once to have the set of files that will work on all?
Im just going with what the Dev team recommends just to be sure.

I hear you but the other way its so much easier and faster.
You don't have to copy & paste anything if you follow iClarified's instructions. There's no 5-second window to copy/paste anything.
when restoring, is there a way to backup my contacts and all that before so I can just transfer 'em back afterwards? And does iTunes have a place that shows all the apps you've DLed so you can go right back and DL 'em again after a restore or do you just have to try and remember 'em all then find 'em again?
How do you get to the /tmp folder on a Mac? Also where is the %TEMP% folder on Windows? I looked in the TEMP folder on Windows but nothing was put in there on a DFU restore so I assumed it was the wrong folder and I can't fine the right folder on Mac.
Do I need to activate my phone to be able to get the iBEC and iBSS? (Im not going to activate it on ATT)
No just dfu restore
