goldmac: You can modify your workout by using lighter weights, refraining from too much jumping during HIIT workouts and using a chair 🪑.

Here's what I got from the surgery center:
1. Limit your activities for a full 6 weeks after your operation.
2. Avoid all exercise other than walking.
3. Do not lift anything heavier than approximately 20 pounds.

So, I'm thinking I'm limited to walking. :D
Seems like a big one here. Then do the Time to Walk episodes and do one once a day, you can do them at your own pace and listen to motivational speeches and podcasts in it. Then the other workouts start slowly with modifications once the doc gives you the green light, 🚦 man.

Treadmill workouts: steer clear until the green light as you have to adjust speed and incline. If you get physical therapy , utilize it.

Ok, well, you got your orders from the experts, follow them, they know better than us dummies on MR ;)
Best of luck!

All Apple Watch users who use Fitness+, y’all there is a huge update coming out tomorrow. There will be new series’s coming for workout programs like yoga posture exercises, new categories like pickleball and table tennis 🏓 and elliptical exercises, and everything else new for 2025. Breath focused meditation exercises are coming soon too! My local news outlet has also showed a tour of Fitness+ studio based in Santa Monica and Los Angeles, and interviewed trainers that we all know about: HIIT trainers Kim and Bakari, and yoga trainer Jonelle.

I’d be happier if it kept an accurate record of my indoor runs. Been all over the place lately.

Same, do you do the Time to Run audio running workouts on your Apple Watch? I do time to walk.

I also hope these new workout categories and updates allow me to create an all new workout routine for 2025. Pro tip: create stacks to plan your workout routine for the week and day, and mix and match accordingly to your schedule. Useful for busy work weeks and traveling 🧳

Oh cool. That's great that they are increasing the content. But personally, I feel that they also need to update the interface. It just seems like a mess to me. I can search for things but I'd rather have a step-by-step progression.

Are you in the L.A. area? I used to live there in the 90s. I lived in Hollywood and worked in West Los Angeles. Eventually moved to San Pedro. Lots of interesting times for me then.

Started strong though. Don’t think I can maintain this though.

It’s still a good start, though. Keep it up, mate.

Agree, the huge changes in the Fitness app let us customize the homepage like iOS widgets but the Fitness app has changed how you navigate it. It now has a search bar but when I try to search up no equipment ones for strength training it still gives me the ones that require me to use a dumbbell. 💪 the stacks I used to scroll all the way down the Fitness+ page to find them but now it’s at the right side. Really should add more filters, friend. Yes I am from the LA area, since I was born n’ raised there. Go Rams 🐏 and horns up, Apple Watch wearers!

I did get the January 7 day award today. This is my first time - because I schedule two easy days every week, until watchOS 11 let me change my move goal to different goals for each day, it wa nearly impossible to reach my goal 7 straight days (without artificially lowering the goal to my easiest day usual total.)

… and here is mines.

Ready to continue the streak and conquer it by doing the same for the next twenty days. I am trying the new strength and yoga series’s that came out and assigned Stacks of HIIT, stretches and strength all body weight training exercises only for the business trip. 7/27 of my monthly challenges.
