I think Google should make Wear 100 percent voice. I just realized I don't want to be swiping with my left finger (or right I'm cross dominant) on a tiny screen. Also, get rid of the whole bluetooth thing. Having to be in a relative vicinity for your phone/tablet is dumb.

Other than that its very exciting and I will be keeping an eye on it

It pulls notifications from your phone, so it has to be connected to the phone and bluetooth is the best way to do so.

100% voice? That would be a disaster. There are many times where talking to your watch is not convenient.

I agree with others about battery life. It is the one thing that will probably annoy me. As far as outside visibility is concerned, I am sure you can see the display it just looks washed out and is hard to see. Even my pebble is harder to see outside.

I cannot imagine the moto improving that much on battery life b.c the technology does not exist. Battery technology will need to improve or else we are going to be stuck with these 1-2 day watches. Until someone decides to use a solar powered watch this is what we have.

I'm pretty sure solar power will not be the solution we are looking for. That being said, I do love my Citizen Eco-Drive.

I'm guessing the Kairos doesn't have a backlight?

Well, it apparently used a PMOLED display so yes, it does emit light. And with an estimated 5-7 days per charge, it's better than these first batches of Android Wear smartwatches.

Price is obviously an entirely different consideration.

I'm intrigued but can't work out how that will look - a watch with a floating, semi-transparent display. Might be really weird.

Personally, I'd just like a normal watch which can vibrate when I get a call/message and display very simple notifications on the watch face.

Imagine one of these multi-dial 'divers' watches where the smaller dials are actually LCD sceens to show notifications.

I keep wanting to pull the trigger on an Eco_Drive, maybe soon.

I saw your Bulls logo, trust me you don't want Carmelo cause he is a poison as far as I am concerned.

I havent read thru this whole thing and havent paid a lot of attention to the watches since i dont plan to get one. Just curious though. Are these things capable and do they send voice messages? I think that would be important for them to do.

That is the main draw. It has Google now voice commands, which can also be used for text.

These things are going to flop imo. Too pricey for anyone but the hardcore tech enthusiast. If they can get the price down to 149 perhaps fitness buffs will start biting.

Agreed. They will sell better if apple releases a watch. People would buy them like crazy and others with android phones would start to explore the watches.

Android has virtually zero marketing for these watches. Like you said, unless you are a tech person you really have no idea. Every time someone notices my pebble they ask if it is a Samsung watch.

I figured as much. I just read something from today in the main section saying Tim Cook made a big deal out of the iWatches will be able to voice text and i thought that should be a standard so thought id ask since Androids are out first.

Just bought the G watch and not even totally sure why, lol. I did get it for $50 off though. I bought through AT&T for $182 shipped to my door after taxes...under 2 bills, so I said screw it. I'll probably sell it when the 360 comes out and won't be out too much coin...
