Screen to bezel ratio looks fantastic. I am surprised that apple is still keeping the physical button on the iPads.

Feels inconsistent from iPhone to iPad.

For existing iPad owners, I reckon the adage applies: "You can't miss what you never had."

Of course, there's also the flip side to that coin: "A luxury once sampled becomes a necessity."

Current plan is to buy the Pro 12.9 (2017) but keep my Pro 9.7 as my mid-size/mobile tablet. Alas, I'm afraid I'd get spoiled by the display on the 12.9 that it would compel me to upgrade the Pro 9.7 to the Pro 10.5. :p

Excellent points! I’m doing the same thing as you. I have a new ’17 iPad 12.9 on the way and plan on keeping my 9.7 to compliment it when I need a smaller footprint. Just like you, I’m also fearful that the new features (especially ProMotion) will drive me to eventually order a 10.5” as well. :D

Im happy with my air 2, still fast and useful. But I may budge next year.

That's an optional accessory. They ship with the standard cherger.
So with the power supply you are still loading like all the previous iPads and can only load faster if you buy a USB C cable?
I also don't understand why they don't ditch the mechanical button for an iPhone 7 one?

The Apple Store says you can use the USB C to Lighting cable to "take advantage of the fast-charging feature on the 12.9-inch iPad Pro". So I guess it only works with the bigger iPad Pro. But then I still don't get why they would still ship the 12.9 Pro with an old USB cable!

Probably because iPads don't have Taptic Engine. Without it how do you get the sensation of pushing a button even if you're really not pushing button?

Um, so they can make more money off accessories. Not saying I agree but that's why they do it.

Currys in the U.K. are selling them, and if anyone decides to go out and get one they're doing £20 off online orders but if you mention it in store and you're lucky they will honour it for a pick up purchase.

You got lucky on that one bud. I reserved one for collection this morning and tried collecting at lunchtime. They couldn't sell it to me as it was blocked until tomorrow (13th) which is why they are all currently listed as £9990 for the instore price. Now got a 10.5 & 12.9 waiting for collection first thing tomorrow with an Xexec discount on top.
Enjoy.

any issues with the screen? display gradients or lack of color/brightness uniformity?

On stage they made it seems it works with both iPads. I will test when I get my 10.5” tomorrow but it should.

Sorry, but this doesn't change the ugliness you've already displayed. I've noted what type of person you are and that won't change. Now take your negativity elsewhere.
Agreed. It has been widely known that it has 4GB of RAM since at least last Tuesday when the first Geekbench results came in and not long after that when reviewers confirmed it in tweets. The full range of benchmark results were even posted early this morning on sites like Ars Technica and dozens of others.

Some people just like being mean and spiteful for no reason. And for those people, MacRumors has created a special button, which I use all the time. More forum users need to be aware of how easy it is to make unsavory people disappear forever.

As another forum member mentioned, the haptic engine would have to be in tandem with the solid-state iPhone 7 button. Also, the iPhone 7 home button is also solid-state to assist in the water resistance.

Picked up a new iPad Pro today, haven't seen any others with them yet so thought I'd share some pictures.

The screen is absolutely brilliant, the only way I can describe it for people who aren't sure what 120hz will feel like is imaging playing a video game like Halo at 30fps then going to Call of Duty at 60fps.

I'm aware the math doesn't add up as 60fps isn't the same as 120hz. It's just a similar to view.

Here are a few pictures, I'll update post with my impressions over the next couple of hours. Any questions feel free to ask.

EDIT: 4GB Ram confirmed.
What version of iOS did it come with?

Ok OP are you glad you posted the pics? Questions Questions:D ; am chuffed i opted for a Space Grey for the 3rd time:)I love the black bezel

Yep! Ordered my 10.5 256GB SB Wifi for delivery on Thursday! Can't wait! This is the first non-mini iPad that I've bought (for myself).
Just for others info, the cash back does not go into your bank account but your very account.

For some reason I was declined it lol

Congrats. I'm jealous.

How do you like it. Is the slightly larger screen noticeable in workflow, enjoying media?
