Well I got to see and hold it and what a beauty! The weight is distributed perfectly, man it felt so good holding it versus my iPad Pro 12.9.

Cannot go into specifics as to where or how so please do not ask as I cannot respond. Once you get to see and hold it I promise you will be delighted. It even felt better to me in hand than the 9.7.

I know it takes more than that to influence a purchase but at least I am off to a great start. Cannot wait to get mine tomorrow.

Do you know if stores will have 12.9" in stock tomorrow?

I am curious how this iPAD will play this file:

Here's a direct link (Matroska direct-rip/lossless, only 30 seconds):

I was going to suggest using the free version, but it seems it was pulled from App-Store. This is the one I have:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/nplayer-plus-the-best-media-player/id539397400?mt=8

nPlayer almost played that file correctly. Infuse couldn't. This in the IPP 9.7.

I do not specifically know, I do not have access to that type of info.

I was lucky enough to get to see and hold a 10.5 demo today and I know they got the 12.9 demo in as well. i was able to do an in store pickup for tomorrow for a 10.5. Maybe try and do the same for a 12.9 for tomorrow at Best Buy and see what happens. That perhaps would give an idea of their availability.

Ah so you saw this at Best Buy, not an Apple store.

A little heavier than I thought but no big deal, screen to footprint ratio is much better. A lot more room to work.

I think these new iPads with iOS11 are really going to be PC replacements.
I've been using a 9.7 and have loved it but wish I had more space to write (I use the pencil for taking notes, because I can't draw for sh*t). I've been considering the 12.9, but worry it would become too awkward to carry around. Is this the Goldilocks iPad?

I've a hard time thinking in diagonals. How much wider is the display along the long dimension?

Thanks for sharing the early impressions. I've been fascinated by this thing-- it's right on the edge of what it would take to get me to replace what I have...

Picked up a new iPad Pro today, haven't seen any others with them yet so thought I'd share some pictures.

The screen is absolutely brilliant, the only way I can describe it for people who aren't sure what 120hz will feel like is imaging playing a video game like Halo at 30fps then going to Call of Duty at 60fps.

I'm aware the math doesn't add up as 60fps isn't the same as 120hz. It's just a similar to view.

Here are a few pictures, I'll update post with my impressions over the next couple of hours. Any questions feel free to ask.

EDIT: 4GB Ram confirmed.

There are two missing parts.....

This is such an exciting thread. I'm so stoked that you got your iPad Pro a day early! I'm looking forward to seeing all of the other reports come piling in tomorrow as everyone else gets there hands on this beast of a tablet!

Um, so they can make more money off accessories. Not saying I agree but that's why they do it.
But then why is there no power supply wirh USB C? They could sell both separate and make even more money.
Also I dont get why they dirched USB on the MBP and still sell it with the iPad Pro!

What is your impression on how fast it is? Maybe launch a labor intensive game or websites that usually take a bit long to open up perhaps?

It to save them money on each iPad sale. Most people dont even know it can fast charge. Then not many people know you need a special charger and cable to fast charge.

Heavier? It's the exactly the same weight as the 9.7

No it is not exactly the same weight as 9.7" iPP there is a difference of 33 Grams in the cellular version between the two models. And a difference of 32 Grams between the Wifi models.
