Hey everyone!
So. I've got my Healing Shields and they look great. Since when I asked AllieFlowers she said they had a white background, I almost canceled my order. However I received my shields today and I'm very pleased to say the one I ordered just to try out, is GREAT! Here's some photos and sorry I couldn't do a better job since it was hard to take a flash photo without washing out the detail so instead I took them all with no flaws, so forgive the darkness!
To say I love the look it gives my watch, is the understatement of the year. I'll be buying other colors for sure but for now, this one is my favorite! Got them here.

Nah! He understands the concept of "Happy Wife, Happy Life" LOL besides, it takes a couple of weeks for them to arrive so order away! He would want your Watch be protected from dings and scuff/hairline scratches and I think this is the way to go because you still have that risk even with a case for as soft as it may be. Lint can get under and minimal particles of dust can still scratch. If you tell him this which is all true, he'd be happy you got it. Happy Birthday to the husband btw!

Got my adapters and generic pink 22mm leather band in. The quality of the band is meh, but I guess that is what I get for $15, LOL. It is very stiff, so I am working on breaking it in. I bought the Luvit adapters and they are OK. A little loose in the socket, but they seem to work. They are shiny metal vs the brushed aluminum. Overall, I am pleased - it makes for a nice change from the standard bands!
Something you can do to soften the band which is cheap and I'm sure you might have in your pantry is coconut oil, grab a towel, and either put it in the dryer or a blow dryer and get the towel warm, put the bands in without directly receiving heat for about 10 minutes (band has to be warm) and every other minute get them out tow wiggle them a little while rubbing coconut oil and back in for a couple more minutes. That should open the leather enough to relax it to be able to use it and the band should be as soft as butter and the best part is, if it is leather, you're hydrating it so it'll last you years.
If it isn't leather too, as I said, don't put it directly on the heat because it could melt it or cause it to shrink (since most vegan bands are PU leather but enough heat if done correctly can make it loosen up by the same leather method.
The other option though would be Lexol which you can get at walmart for about $5-8 and you can use it for the leather band and even your leather stuff at home like your vehicles interior, leather sofas, recliners and so on. My Dad swears by it. Lexol has kept his Rolex Bands looking good for over 20-30 years and kept them in an almost new condition or great shape till today so that stuff makes miracles on hard leather.
But again. If not then use what you've got at home. I would say lather the band up with tons of coconut oil, then put it in a ziplock bag and get the blow dryer on it so it can absorb some of the hydration. Also, it won't give you a rash or make your hands sweaty or oily since EVOO or other oils are usually greasier than Coconut Oil. That stuff can be used for everything!
Good luck!

Sorry I didn't have time to post earlier. Very busy day.

Here's the SwitchEasy Colors.

I think I love these most. They're soft and there's no way that my watch will suffer any damage with these. I absolutely love the soft yet toughness of the cases. I've got a blue one too but I wanted to wait on a new blue band to arrive to post a matching photo!
Here's the Supcase Beetle Unicorn and Pro.
They're nice but, for $14.00 a piece, not worth it. The cases should go around the same price as the Poetic cases and those are $5.95, and those offer even more protection. Specially on the bottom of the cases. The Beetle Unicorns are tough and really plasticky l. I expected better for the price payed to be honest. Still they're nice and make a good combination with some of my watches but if I have to wear a case at all, I still go with SwitchEasy. And the band in it is very subtle. Definitely a favorite for sure. I hope to get other colors later. I totally recommend the Pro over just the case any day unless you want to combine with bands you already own.
The Beetle Unicorn Pro is awesome. I loved the fit
I hope you like the photos. J.

Jmona, Is there a ultra thin, clear, flexible ⌚️ body cover that is barely (if at all) visible? I've looked, but I'm confused as to which one matches this criteria. Help, please. :)

I finally got a set of adapters with the spring bars. Rummaged around in my jewelry box and found an old watch with a nice SS bracelet that I don't wear anymore. Took the bracelet off the watch, installed it onto the adapters, and voila, beautiful SS bracelet on my Sport watch! I used the Wearlizer adapters (from Amazon) and while they don't slide in quite as smoothly as the official Apple straps, they lock in nicely and have no wiggle.

Looks like so far the Ultra thin case from Spigen is the only case or body cover that is thinner than the usual crystal clear body you can get on eBay for a couple of bucks. However it seems like some people aren't very happy with it because it causes too much distress or scratches in to the bezel so it's a double edge sword.
Here's the link. There's also photos on the reviews by the people that's got one.

My crystal TPU clear case came in today. Posted about it in #387 (page 16). Bought it off Ebay. Shipped promptly and no problems at that end. While the description on my transaction said it had the dots that people who bought the ultra thin Spigen TPU case Jamona referenced above said theirs had, I could not discern them on mine like in the review photos for the Spigen. I'll post my photos tomorrow.

However, pretty much the same negative comments I read about the Spigen I would say apply to my PowerAdd brand case shipped by my seller. Took a little bit of effort to fit on my 42mm SS case. Put it on after removing my watch band BTW. A little tugging here or there to line up the cutouts for the speaker and mic area and the crown and band openings. The side button under the crown was not a cutout, just like the Spigen. I don't have Apple Pay yet but read in the Spigen review that at least one person could not use Apple Pay with it on. No problems with it off. I do think while a soft flexible "plastic" it did put some small scratches on the case. Maybe from the cutout edges, not really sure. I do think over time it will yellow from UV or heat.

While I liked the idea that it wrapped up over the edges of the sapphire screen protecting the curved screen edges (and the rest of the case), I did think it added a level of cheapness to what is a sleek, gorgeous SS/black glass look. Bulked up the face and really even though "clear" made it difficult to notice I had this beautiful stainless case on the watch. After my experience and reading the similar case reviews for the Spigen, I removed it from my Watch and will toss it in the garbage. I wouldn't even give it to someone for free if it ultimately scratches or damages the case.

I'm kind of sad that the solution I had hoped would work for me, disappointed. While there's definitely a need for some to have extra protection, and I think companies have tried hard to provide some nice solutions, I have to say I think for the most part Ive and designers probably want to barf over how these case covers ultimately change their sleek Watch. I know I wanted to have a beautiful smartwatch to wear if I got one, and not one that looked cheap, geeky or plastic or rubbery.

Looks like thus far the only option is an Orzly face plate which covers par of the sides and you keep the shine and beauty of the watch mostly without compromise. Well mostly since it'll still cause some hairline scratches and the thing about those is they fall real easy but yet again they protect the screen and most of the upper bezel and it's super thin. Sadly many consider that Watch Accessories aren't a big market so many companies I know aren't even bothering in making anything.

I've never understood why, when Apple goes to all the trouble to design sleek, elegant and beautiful products, some people feel compelled to put something on them which totally changes the look of the item (iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, whichever)..... I bought my Apple watch because I love how it looks as well as how it functions. I wouldn't dream of putting some stupid cover on it that would spoil the innate beauty of the original design. Why would I want to make something beautiful into an ugly, bulky object? Aside from that, it seems that a lot of these so-called "protective" covers actually damage the item by scratching or marring in some way. Thanks just the same, I'll take my chances with my watch and wear it the way it was meant to be worn and enjoyed.....

Agreed. The protective cases all seem bulky and ugly. The Apple watch is sleek and beautiful.
Not to sound rude you guys but.
It's a quandary subject and I'll tell you why.
Most people here not all went for the expensive model. And the ones of us who did still have gotten our devices hurt in one way or another.

I may be a sick person but I'm very active here in CO and do more perhaps than a sick person like me on chemo should, crazy stuff, specially snowboarding for that matter where I'm always landing on stuff, and my phone although SS with a sapphire crystal display has still gotten banged up. If if wasn't for the new skin it has on you wouldn't be able to tell my watch in the left upper corner is missing a big chip by the corner of the screen. At least a mm or 2 thick OFF the stainless.

That's a lot of damage for a $600 watch. So. For those of us that feel the need of extra protection, don't condemn us for it.
We do as we feel more comfortable for ourselves. Don't wear a skin or a cover/case if you don't like to but don't hate on those of us that do for we are simply choosing to be a little extra careful with our stuff not that you aren't , it is an expensive device and not many got apple care; but yet again I'm a clumsy goose and although I get a free iPhone per year at Apple doesn't mean I get to be reckless just because I've got privileges.
I take care of my stuff even more so because eventually I give my left over devices away to friends so they can be in good shape when I hand them to someone that needs it.

So, most of us that decide to use a case is for more reasons than just being a shiny watch.
I'm not looking to impress someone because I got the mid level model since it's the most expensive of the affordable ones, and I'm definitely not looking in to appease anyone that differs from what I like just to make anyone happy either.
I do what makes ME happy and if using a case or a skin does, who are you to judge? As long as I'm happy is what matters. I payed for this watch just like everyone else paid for theirs. Aren't I allowed to do as I may please? Just because I don't like your opinion doesn't mean I don't respect it. And the same goes for some who don't wear a case or any other accessories out there. I may not be like you, nor agree with what you do with your device but I respect your opinion and I believe that warrants for you to respect mine. And note I'm saying this in the friendliest of ways.
Everyone has a taste. That's why I made this thread and lo and behold many have benefited from all of our finds in general. And I will continue to post every case that comes available because that's why this thread was made for.
Didn't you Allie have a Poetic case for your watch which you posted in some other thread btw???

If you allow MR to handle the name, or perhaps just use the quote function, you don't have to worry about autocorrect. Just type the @ sign and the first few letters. MR will fill in the rest for you.

I'm not sure what you mean by a quandary...there are plenty of options out there. The heavy ones are just fugly. Just my opinion. Opinions differ and we really can't take offense when we don't share the same opinion.

Yes I have a Poetic something that came in the mail from someone somewhere. I wore it for a few days. It's nice, but unnecessary. My 1st husband regularly wore thousand dollar watches (bless his pointed little head). Never did he put a case on one of them. AFAIK, cases aren't even made for non smart watches, even though many of them are much pricier than the Apple watch. Maybe that's the real quandary.

Promised some photos of the TPU case cover I bought. Really no need to add more since with the exception of the dots missing from mine, the TPU covers do look all about the same if not manufactured from one or two places. I kind of chuckled when I noticed the photos of the Watch on the back side of the box didn't show the case on it which you would think would be part of the box design.

WatchCase1.jpg WatchCase2.jpg WatchCase3.jpg

The clear isn't horrible looking exactly but makes you say where's the SS? More importantly though who wants to scratch their case just to protect it? Doesn't make sense. Maybe for the aluminum Sport Watches this isn't noticeable or doesn't happen but I love my SS Watch too much to subject it to the scratching abuse. I did take out Apple Care+ and I'm not super active or in a job where it would be subjected to daily risk of damage so will remain coverless. Chalk it up to a learning curve and thankfully not an expensive one, given $5 and one day on.

I can see why 3rd parties are reluctant to invest heavily in some types of accessories as you said Jamona. I don't however think people here are not understanding people's different needs when they express their criticism of some of the 3rd party stuff, just that really if it doesn't enhance the Watch, etc. it's a detractor. Not all accessories are detractors IMO. For example I happen to think the iPhone silicon case covers while serving to protect the iPhone, are very attractive installed on the phone. Having seen so many examples of Watch case covers here (thanks everyone for photos) I have to say maybe there just isn't going to be something that protects and keeps the product looking the same. Maybe the answer for heavy duty Watch users is for Apple to design a "Rugged" series. Where you would get waterproofing, screen and case protection and still done in an attractive watch case not requiring modification. Suppose if Apple Watch becomes a runaway hit for them, there's a chance for something like that. Until then...

As for me, no "hating" going on here, I was simply stating that I have never understood why people want to do this.....put something on a beautiful object which then renders it not so beautiful, completely alters the original design and form, and in some cases actually causes damage to it. I'm not talking about just the watch, actually, I'm talking about iPhones and iPads as well.

I'm not looking to impress anyone, either -- I didn't buy my watch for that purpose. I bought it totally selfishly for my own pleasure and enjoyment. I've only actually had a couple of people say, "oh, is that the Apple watch?" when I've been out-and-about somewhere. Most people don't even give it a second glance or if they do notice it apparently they think it's a bracelet of some sort. That suits me just fine! I don't want some bozo knocking me over the head so he can steal my watch, thank you very much! LOL!

Those who find this info useful will appreciate it, those who don't just move along.

I personally can't imagine using any iPad without a cover or case of some sort. My iPhone, I wish I didn't have to, but Apple while making devices "sleek, elegant and beautiful" they aren't always that practical - the iPhone 6 is not only hard to handle with one hand, it's also really slippery! Furthermore, I won't be the only one handling my phone - got young kids too!

As for the Watch, I'm looking after it as best I can, but no case thank you very much! Those who use the Watch as a tool may need protection of sorts in their work environment and I get that. But if an average person isn't going to dress up $500 timepiece, then I wouldn't bother either.

By quandary I meant it's a dilemma. Everyone is different when it comes to accessorizing.
I just really hope no one took offense for what I said. I just simply think everyone should feel free to post what they like without disrespecting what others do like. As I said before what doesn't work for you might actually work for others. No need to question people about how they do things.
I simply believe that you should be able to treat your devices how you'd like to and if that means using a case then by all means.
Apple makes great devices. But remember not everyone chooses to get apple care and for that reason many have the need to add a little extra protection which is good.
A man that is like my Uncle if not a father to me, whom also happens to be one co founder of Apple himself and my father both have Rolexes that are worth more than my brand new car and no you wouldn't see them using these kind of protection. For one their watches only tell the time whilst Apple Watch does so much more and beyond than just that. You'll never go to work on a heavy duty type of job with a. Rolex. Come on now!
Apple watch however was designed for so many other things it's ridiculous to think you can even compare a Rolex to an Apple Watch.
That's just Ludicrous. It isn't and will never be the same.
Btw as much as you didn't like the looks of the Poetic case I really liked how it looked on your watch. I thought it was nice actually.
But even those bulky cases have their flaws. And there again that's why we're all here to help inform each other so that we make the best informed decision prior the purchase of said accessories.
Having said that, only reason I buy stuff is for review he's to help others and then I give them away. I don't keep anything. I like my watch without a case actually reason why I got the skin you suggested from Healing Shield because it'll allow me to actually leave my watch on its beautiful form without unnecessary bulkiness while at the same time protecting the bezel and SS body from more scratches and more chips. I am a very physical person when I'm hiking or rock climbing here in Colorado and that's what happened when I chipped my watch. Thankfully I didn't break the screen but the bezel now that I had to protect one way or another and the skin was the way to go for me and I'm not one bit upset nor embarrassed about my decision. I rather love the look of my watch with a body shield on it.
Now when it comes to cases that's another story.
So yeah. Again not taking offense here but really, no one has to like what everyone likes. As long as we all respect each other and continue to help each other to the best of our abilities. A place where everyone has different opinions is what makes a world go round. and thanks so much for the @Alli suggestion. I'll do that from now on instead. I really REALLY apologize for that. My phone takes over with spell check and auto correct. So I did change in my settings that every time I write Ellie autocorrected will be Alli instead.
