I needed some instant gratification yesterday after the roller-coaster of AT&T iPhone 6s+ preorders. Stopped into the Apple store and picked up the Product Red sport band. Love it.

Looks amazing on you! I'm picking up my new iPhone 6S Plus next week with maybe the red and lavender band when my husband gets his at the end of the week so he will transition from a WinMo phone picking the 6S in Rose Gold himself. My mother in law whom is known for being an Apple hater for life has turned to the dark side and she got an iPhone 6S yesterday.
Of course I didn't find out until today since my husband left his phone at home while we spent the weekend in Aspen and when we got back I was surprised to hear she got a new phone and was wondering how much of a hard time I was going to give her, specially since she also wants the watch now!
That was the deciding factor for my husband wanting an iPhone too. He'll be the third person at our home with an iPhone again, besides me with my 2 iPhones, my son with his and now my husband finally finding the path of righteousness. I foresee an Apple Watch for him around Christmas. The future is bright ladies!

Hi ladies,

Anyone know of a band that runs a bit smaller than the width of the 38mm watch?

I'm looking for something that might be able to mimic the look of my normal watch:
IMG_3035.JPG IMG_3036.JPG

The strap runs just under the 15mm mark and is much smaller than the actual watch face

I'd love to just take the strap off this watch (or use a similar sized strap) and throw it on my Apple Watch, but I don't know much about the adapter lugs, and from what I've seen, it looks like maybe this small of a strap won't work with them.

I've even considered going from the 42mm and just using 38mm straps, but I think the 42 looks a bit too big on my wrist.

Anyone else wear theirs with this kind of style and could help me out?

Only about a day left, check out this Kickstarter - there's a slimmer one for the 38mm:

Hey Ladies. So I went to Apple today to get new iPhones and while I was there took a quick peak to see if there's any bands I'll get after payday and well. I saw a Modern Buckle that isn't the soft pink but it's more lavender'ish and it's the same color as this band with the only difference it's probably a couple mm narrower than my vegan leather strap.
Has anyone see them yet? I'm going to try taking a photo next time. Since I got my chemo infusion today I was rather tired and wanted to rush with picking up the phones to come home and rest but I'm rather intrigued because I don't remember Apple announcing different modern buckle colors. And when I got home it downed on me that it's a different color Modern Buckle. Then I said something to my husband and he did make a point that sometimes Apple releases new stuff out of the blue without announcing it much like they have done with the MBPs. Or am I missing something?!

On the website, in the Watch Edition section, there is a Rose Grey option. Maybe this is the rose grey option?mthe website doesn't have the option to buy the strap though.

Yes! I believe this is the one. I thought for a second I was going CRAZY! It is EXACTLY the same color! It is ridiculous how good and how similar a cheap $6.00 vegan leather band from ebay can be compared to it. Maybe the quality isn't not alike and side by side it wont be the same for there isn't the same buckle underneath but it is exactly the same color. Once I feel better I'll try to go back if I can make the drive up to Briargate since it's quite the drive from Breck to there since I'm in our condo for the next few weeks. It's almost tempting LOL.

As far as I can tell, for the 38mm you have two options in terms of maximum band width. if you use the prong style lug/adapter, you need a 20mm band to fill the gap. You could go smaller, but you'll see the pin. If you use the style of adapter in the photo, it can take a 22mm band. If you go with a smaller band, you will see the metal on either side. It seems like I saw a photo long ago of a very narrow band on the Apple watch, but it didn't look good IMHO.

Nice strap Snoopy. That is a Combat Strap in Aqua Toad right? I just ordered one last week (aqua leather with aqua minimal stitching) as aqua is my favorite color and it is really hard to find any bands that color. How long did it take to arrive after you ordered it? And are you happy with it?

That's what I was afraid of - I feel like being able to see the pins on either side is not a good look. Maybe someone in the future will create a band that tapers into a slimmer band.

Thanks for your explanation of the different adapters - it was very helpful. I just picked mine watch up on Monday, so I'm still trying to learn before I go crazy with the 3rd party bands.

Yep! Please post a picture when you get it. I also have a grey stingray with minimal pink stitching. I am very happy with both and plotting my next purchase. I think it was about two weeks.

I've had two bands custom made by Aaron at Combat-Straps and have been happy with both. Perhaps he can help you with something or one of the other custom band makers on the internet. Strap Smith and Toshi Straps are two others I've looked at. The guy at Toshi seemed really nice and was very responsive. I only looked online at Strap Smith, never emailed him.

I'm also attaching a picture of the two types of adapters I've ordered.

Hi ladies, I hope you don't mind my posting in your thread. I picked up a 42mm space gray sport today and my wife should be getting a 38mm silver sport on Monday. She's really interested in the Milanese loop but was hoping you could recommend a good quality 3rd party version. Also, I'm looking for a 3rd/4th gen black or space gray link bracelet for myself.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Welcome to the thread! Does she have anything in mind she may want, like anything leather, silicone, sports, metal/link/milanese? :) Let us know. :) Maybe if she checks the thread it could give her some ideas, and we can go from there. :D
