By 'knew what you wanted' does that mean you were able to calculate the configurations were bands would be available for launch day delivery? From other reports, your advantages seem to include going natural and getting 41 mm.
“Knew what I wanted” meant that I wanted the 41mm natural Ti with the cherry leather band and it just happened to be a combination that existed and happened to be available on launch day. Just lucky and kept refreshing page for Apple store near 5am here in California.

I ordered right when the store went back up again, put it together and checked out. Got a delivery date of November 9 till 16.

While I really like that if we’re forced to buy a new band with every Watch purchase, we’re able to customize which one we get, I hate the complexity that it adds to the ordering/supply process.

As others have said, I really just wish they’d provide an option for Watch only.

I most likely would have done natural titanium if it had been available in October. It just wasn’t enough of a pull for me to wait another month. My wife has been wanting my current watch after this upgrade.

The dominant thread about iW 7, included a post today suggesting that only world-class cities would possibly have anything Ti on launch day in an Apple Store.
Given this theory, I understand who would be first in line but is there any chance that Dallas would make the cut?

Houston did last year, don't know about Dallas but would assume similar.

Okay, but given the low inventory this year no sure how to speculate considering unknown factors like inventory.

Happy for you and note that again the Ti is to be shipped and not available at an Apple Store unless you made the choice yourself.

Ordered at :02 and got a Nov 2-9 for SB Ti with the Tornado/Gray Sport Loop. I saw Oct 26th before checking out, but got slapped by Apple once the order was placed. This was the first time I’ve missed launch day delivery out of 5 watches. All SS, SBSS, or SB Ti.

Oh well, it’ll show up in a few weeks. There’s bigger things to be concerned about.

I got into the app at 8:00am on launch day. Went for 45mm natural Ti with dark cherry loop but it said delivery unavailable and wouldn’t even let me order. Picked the next configuration which was a blue braided loop and it was available for 10/15 delivery so got that. Not a fan of the band but wanted the watch on launch. I’ll pick up the cherry loop separately.

I cannot keep up with the long OP about S7 since it casts such a wide net, but @CodeSpyder from Orlando, FL, reports that his natural TI will be picked up in an Apple store this Friday.
Now I see that @smarcotte reports a Ti SB with cherry braided loop scheduled for Oct 26 - 28 delivery.

I ordered a 45mm Space Black Titanium Case with Tornado/Gray Sport Loop. Confirmation email came at 8:03am EST. Delivery date 10/26 - 10/28. Hoping it ships sooner as most of my Apple non-launch day preorders usually do. I am in USA outside of Philadelphia.

fair enough.

I really hope this year the SB is darker than previous cause it was closer to the space grey than black IMO.

Totally agree. It does not even begin to resemble what I think of when I hear space black. Very much wish it was darker.

I used the Apple Watch Studio to select my Apple Watch and Band. I almost selected black titanium by mistake, but back-tracked and selected natural titanium. By the time I checked out, my choices were delivery in early November or pickup at Apple Store on Oct 15. I chose the latter. Here's what I'm getting.

Looks like at this point there’s no way to get a titanium in October. I see no in-store pickup anywhere and no models for delivery even in early November now. I thought the titanium would be easier to get than the SS. Guess I was wrong. I’m still feeling a bit of an itch to change to titanium from steel, but now I’d be waiting until mid-November.
