Does that mean that the non-Pro models have the exact same screen (contrast, max nits, resolution for both 6.1) vs 12 Pro ? That is excellent news for non-Pro if it's true !

I was expecting non-pro to have non-XDR display like X/XS (less nits so less good for HDR content and less contrast vs XDR on 11 Pro)

Yes, much to my surprise, the display technology of the four models is the same, but it does not mean that their screen panel suppliers are the same.

they knew that iPhone 12 mini and the iPhone 12 Pro Max will be the customer favorites, instead of the regular iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro losing sales, they'll be releasing them earlier than the two fones that will obviously sell more.

Hope that fits here

No, the 6.1” model significantly outsells every other iPhone model. It was true in 2018 and 2019 and will be true this year. It’s a logical move to prioritize 6.1” if Apple is supply constrainted this year.

no the 6.1 inch model was the best-seller not because of its size but because of the price.

you're basically getting the latest iPhone with the essential and important features at just 699 or 649, rather than shelling out 999 or more for features that arent as important like one more camera or oled.

Does the 6.1" screen sell more because it's 6.1" or because it's cheaper?

Both?

Regardless, the 6.1” model is the undisputed best seller in Apple’s lineup. Not a surprise given 6.1” models are also Android mainstream favorites as well.

To sum up, if the leak is true, all differences between 12 6.1 and 12 Pro 6.1 are on the camera department ? Same RAM (I tought is was 6 on Pro, 4 on regular), same battery ?

Yea I considered LiDAR part of the camera department even if it is a bit different ;)
Screen panel looks the same, I mean if there is different suppliers but all the screens specs are the exact same, what's the difference ?
Stainless steel i don't care, I put a case + prefer aluminium just because it's lighter

Humm I'm still hesitating between the two. But since I'm more a screen enthusiast than a photo one, I think I will go for the most cost-effective option especially if screen is the same.

I think Magsafe is Apple's marketing name for 15W and reverse charging.
I think it's also related to the rumoured circle of magnets on the back. Maybe a circular wireless charger that snaps onto the back to charge the phone?

Also, seems like Apple finally got a new name for their "Space Grey" which has had over 3 different shades so far 😂

I know it's a long shot but would love a folio case for the phone like the iPad Pro/Air cases that just attach by magnets (probably couldn't happen because of the wireless charging but I can dream)

Anyone thinking of going from an iPhone 11 Pro Max to and iPhone 12 Pro? Wanna get it just because it releases a month earlier than the Pro Max.

Will the loss in screen real estate be very noticeable?
