I'm really doubting whether I'll stick with Apple now. Getting sick of the "thousand paper cuts" price increases, and for what? I'd want the 6.1" non-Pro with 128Gb and that's looking like it'll be £850-900 in the UK. That's with:
  • No 120Hz screen
  • No TouchID on power button
  • No charger
  • No headset
  • A massive notch (still)
Starting to look at what my wife gets on her Samsung A71 she got for under £300 and the S20 FE Samsung just released and starting to seriously question another iPhone. The Pixel 4a is also rumoured to have 10% off from October 15th - £315 for that camera is also very tempting.
Agree!

What are the chances that the event video gets leaked? Given a leaker has already seen it!
Most likely he read some transcript of the video and not the actual video. Apple sends them out to some companies for translation subtitles / ASL vids / etc... I don’t think many people have seen or access to the actual video before launch.

I didn’t really like the folio on my 11 pro but like the idea of a case that you can take on and off as quick as my iPad Pro Smart Keyboard.

I have the folio on my iPad 11 pro, the iPad moves off the case easily wouldn't trust it on a iPhone.

Not good for those that update every year, will only get 10 months out of the 12, may as well wait for the 13.

Have always thought the XR/11 cameras looks terrible in a case, looks like the mini and 12 non pro will be the same.

Glad I decided to just go and buy an 11 pro max when stores starting offering them up for discounts here. The 13 (12s) pro max will very likely be the buy next year.

That seems to fit, since Kang said parts of the info were in English (which implies that other parts were in Chinese).

Keep in mind that the presentation Kang saw was at least partially in Chinese. An idiom like “Gorilla Glass” might not make sense to Chinese speakers, so the translators would have to come up with a substitute.

Not at all. Gorilla Glass is widely advertised by top brands like Huawei, Oppo, and Vivo and is very well known.

Apple simply doesn't advertise the names of third-party components. Otherwise, it distracts from the Apple brand. You will will never see the words Qualcomm Snapdragon X55, Samsung AMOLED, or Broadcom Wi-Fi 6 on Apple marketing literature.

One of the best comparisons is the stainless steel vs. aluminum Watch. The aluminum model comes out lighter every time.

Only by about 9 grams which is not much considering the weight ratio of aluminium vs stainless is 1 to 3. The design must be slightly different between the two which would make sense as you’d need thicker cross sectional areas.

Having been born and raised just outside of Corning, NY - I don't care what they call it, as long as they keep buying it! :)

I'm going iPhone 12 128GB.. still furious that the rumored 64GB starting storage is true. Really horrible on Apple there. Any ideas on the historic time for deliveries when ordering online? Am I better to get in line at the Apple Store here on the day of sales? I'm in Dubai, btw.

There is an 11g difference between stainless steel and aluminum Series 4. I would call 30% quite a difference.

Stainless Steel - 44mm
Case Weight: 47.9g

Aluminum - 44mm
Case Weight: 36.7g

According to Apple, the Series 4 Watch only uses 5g of aluminum material for the 44mm model.
