I got the brown one from the 1st link. I posted some pics awhile back if you search my media.
How is the quality or feel of the leather? Been looking for a full cover leather case for my 14p. I love the BS feel but I prefer the closed bottom. Thinking about Andar jet black but the YMW Napa leather is cheaper and looks nice.

My Ryan London case came in today and it's really well made! I went with the open bottom and it feels the closest case available to the older Apple leather cases. The problem is it handles like a wet bar of soap. It's really slick! Is this something that goes away as it patinas or is there something I can do to make it a little more grippy?

Just give it a few days and the grip will come.

The leather is super soft, smells great and the buttons are perfect. I would purchase it again.

Can anyone recommend a good Nappa leather case?

I love the feel of Nappa, so I ordered the Lonli nappa. It came today and I'm really disappointed, the fit is poor (the lip around the top right of the phone is noticeably lower than everywhere else), the buttons aren't great (the lock buttons aren't as tactile as the others, and the volume and action buttons are wonky) and the cutouts at the bottom are a little sharp.

Is there anything else I could try? Doesn't even have to be real leather, happy with one of these 'vegan' leathers if it feels like Nappa.

I've got the Andar Aspen, and as much as it's a good case I just want a nappa/similar feel.
More like Lonli Nope-a

I only used mine for a couple days because I wasn’t crazy about the leather feel. It fit great and had great buttons though. One warning, it either doesn’t have the alignment magnet or the magnets are just really weak because my MagSafe wallet came off multiple times in my pocket.

Looks like it'll patina well. Not sure how I feel about the button color choice, but I do think the case looks good!
Yeah I was thinking the same, I wish the buttons were a darker color. Probably going to sell it or gift it

I have had mine for five days now and it still feels like a bar of soap, but hoping that coating wears off soon.

So, I just received the Sienna Slate from BS and my first impressions are great.

First time buying a case from them, so I'll do a little comparison with my beloved Andar Aspen.

Pros:

• Grip is better than Andar's.

• The feeling in hand is soooooo good. As everyone knows, Andar is a little bit slippery.

• Buttons are better. With the Andar you have to press a little bit more.

• I really missed the open bottom through all those years. All of my cases were closed, so that was something nice. It's like I bought a new device.

Cons:

• I can find only one and that's the smell of the leather. With the Andar was so intense, here not so great.

• The color it's not the same with the photos on their site.

• Εven though it isn't their fault, our customs here in Greece charged me 27€.

I dont think your pics look too disimilar to Bullstrap's wesbite?

Does anyone have a Bullstrap maverick patina update? Wanting to get it and the wallet but not sure what to expect for true color etc.

Apply some leather conditioner if you want to add some grip or just get your hands warm and rub the leather with your thumb the same way the grain goes naturally, this will wear through the wax protective coating and add more natural grip.

The smell note is interesting bc my BS Dune had a strong smell, my Turquoise Andar didn’t smell nearly as strong, a Camel Tan Andar I recently received (wrong size) had a very strong smell even stronger than my BS. Just my curious observation.

Your Slate looks great btw.

I had one for a few months on my 14 Pro and it got dark rather quickly. Peep my media photos and you can see how it looked after a month or so.

BS Slate arrived. Has two deep scratches unfortunately but the case looks great, the right lighting is needed to capture the accurate color of the case.

Case smells like some type of solvent (chemical). Past BS cases all smelled of rich leather.

They will most likely ship you a replacement if it bothers you. Are they deep scratches? They may go away within a week or so.

Yea they are actually very deep. I’ve had a lot of leather cases including BS and i know they sometimes come with imperfections, this one seems like it happened after production. Doesn't bother me too much.
