That’s exactly what I thought about mine regarding the similarity to apple leather. love the stripes. Their customer service is awesome too. Jun the rep that always responds will even send pics of different cases so you can choose the one you like. More grain, less grain, stripes etc. cheers man!

Yeah the X didn’t bother me in the past but now it does because it’s allowed water into the leather causing permanent damage. I know that if given enough time the patina will eventually hide that stain but until then it’s gonna bug me. Going to try and live with it a bit and see what it looks like later on.

Ryan London is exactly like the Apple leather case. Make sure it’s the closed bottom one and not the one with the open bottom, as the cut around the lip on that one isn’t like the Apple leather case.

Ryan London or if you don’t want to spend that much or don’t like the colour options, the fake Apple leather cases from eBay are actually pretty good! I know on the one I got it had perfect cut outs, perfect buttons and fit nice and tight all round, SOME cases that cost 5x the amount aren’t that well made, just a shame it’s not real high quality leather.

RL & BS are both great. I would say the only difference is the color. RL has a richer tone. In terms of quality both great. Both will definitely have a lot of variations sometimes dry, sometimes grainy. My particular RL is very smooth with some nice tiger stripes reminds a bit of the old apple leather cases

I have found a very nice alternative to the Apple leather case, which I have always used. I actually like the open bottom better than closed. We've been using it for two weeks now and it's already developing a nice patina. It is a family business from Berlin, using German or Italian leather, made in Germany.

Looks like a bullstrap case. Maybe same factory.

Oh ok yeah style is very similar after looking at the site. Maybe they all use the same factory to make them.

It’s a shame they only ship to certain countries. In this day and age worldwide shipping should be the standard.
 
Hey guys, so my bullstrap case will be coming this week. Will this be a good protector for my new case? Want it to be water resistant as I have bad sweaty palms.

For bullstrap I would go for something more like this, and don’t soak it just a light misting when clean and let it soak in.
