Leather Cases - Patina Proud Photos

As a phone user, I will not use any other case other than a leather case. We skinned the sheep we slaughtered in the village during Eid al-Adha and obtained the type of leather used in Mercedes cars, called Nappa. Shaping the leather, sewing it, painting it, etc. was difficult, but it was worth it. My cover is also made of leather, I made the leather with holes like in Mercedes cars. I made both a keychain holder and a small ventilation gap at the top of the case. In this way, there is no problem of sweating while holding the phone in my hand. The weather is very cold where I live, below 5 degrees all day long, there is no oil problem, no spillage problem, nothing. I also bought the cover and painted it blue. I guess it's been 8 months. There is a huge Turkish flag on it.

Purchased the keyway designs whiskey case for my 14 pro max on November 27th. Here it is now after constant daily use.

After trying out cases from Andar, Bare, Nomad and having to constantly be disappointed with the non leather camera ring I am really happy to see Bullstrap will offer a closed bottom. Meanwhile I decided to pull the trigger on a RL case in saddle brown and maybe next time around I will purchase a closed bottom case for those situations where I need the extra protection, but for now super happy with the progress.View attachment 2337752

My Keyway took a spill today. Getting out of my car in a parkade it fell into a puddle of melted snow on the cement floor. My MagSafe wallet fortunately took the brunt of the blow and it came away unscathed. The Keyway took some damage though. Two corners have some damage and the camera ring has a chip. I touched up the ring with some black paint but I can still feel the chip. I’m trying to smooth out the leather with some balm and massaging it. Will have to see how it turns out. My phone is fine which is the important part but my OCD is struggling with the case. I have a bunch of Keyway points so may have to just cave and get another.

Wish there was something closer design wise to the Apple leather cases but with a better leather quality. The buttons definitely didn't protrude as much on those, and never had any issues with charging on any wireless chargers.

I work at Tesla driving various models at the facility & haven't noticed any issues with the bull strap or bare skin.

Get a microfibre cloth, brand new or 100% clean, rub the case with it (dry) following the grain of the leather and that will wear down the wax coating and take it back to its more natural state (with grip).

With all of these higher end leather cases, are there any issues with Magsage charging? I recall the Apple leather cases would get an ugly "ring" on the back where the charging puck made contact. Is that the case with these cases too?

With most, yes. MagSafe generates heat which over time will mark the leather. It will do the same to any case but obviously to a less obvious degree due to the harder materials often used.

It’s been 12 hours and the leather has healed up really nicely already. I think in a few weeks it will smooth right out and just be character. Proof this is quality leather on these cases. Just wish the metal ring could heal itself too.

That doesn’t look bad. My whisky healed up pretty well after my baby tried to eat it. The water around the X sucks though . I hate they cut the leather to put the X there.
