Hence why I said everything is subjective. Please read my post you are replying too. I also said I didn’t like the GM response.

For me like many others in this thread RL IS in another league based on my experience using leather since it’s inception and echoed in this thread.

You have latched on to this Alex Goldfinch brand, which is all fine and good. But you attacking another very popular brand in this thread is not going to gain you much support. Goldfinch is a huge unknown. You have had a good experience, but they are not shipping at the volumes RL or BS are. We really have no idea what sort of issues they may have at this volume. The massive sale they are running on a current version phones kind of suggests they are not having the sales volumes that are ideal.

Again all cool to support your favorite brand, but attacking other brands and pumping a brand up that really doesn’t have a track record is a bit unfair.

That’s how I would expect my leather link and modern buckles in Ink to look. They just get shiny with regular use.

Are you going for an all-black setup? Don’t you wear a black titanium Apple Watch Ultra and have a black iPhone 15/16 Pro?

I have a black 15. My ultra2 is the original titanium.

I’m sure I’ll be back in brown leather again. You just can’t beat brown leather patina.

I was talking here about RL, and people here saying “dubious” comments, far (IMO) from the reality, trashing (as you did) other company’s and saying that Ryan London Wins, no matter what they do, saying their leather is in another league, when (it’s not bad by any means, one of the top for sure) that all three I’ve tried and mention are so so close, and so similar. The fact that some of you are close friend of the GM of the brand explains to me a lot.

You are here saying I’m trashing RL, when everything I’ve said is their OB case is top tier, and I really like it, but at the level with other 2 brands ( BS and AG) and that their CB for me is expensive, has worse leather and is not worthy at all. That is trashing a company? Meh…

well I won’t come back to that topic again, enjoy your cases and support your favorite brands.

I have not at all trashed Alex Goldfinch. I merely suggested that claiming their quality is amazing is a bit premature. There is not a lot of data out there. I am asking, why are they on heavy discount. Doesn’t make much sense to me on current gen cases. Oh well just asking questions.

I think myself and others have all said RL dropped the ball on the CB CC case. Everyone makes mistakes, it’s how they come out on the other side. In the past they have proven they still make quality cases. Bullstrap as much as some people hate on it, always seem to offer a solid case.

To me it seems every time RL is brought up here, you bring up the CB case and how the quality isn’t there. So that’s why I brought this up. Move on if you like, but I think everyone here just wants a good discussion with some amazing patina pictures and respecting each other. How about show us your aging on your Goldfinch case? I have yet to see that.

Omg this is absolutely stunning!

I don’t think they have a closed bottom version. Otherwise I’d consider this when the cc button version releases in a few months!

My black one still looks gorgeous I just love the quality of BS cases

Edit: yes they have a closed bottom version. Def gonna put this on my radar for the summer time. Keep us posted on the patina!

keep us updated about patina, I think last year slate color was like plain “boring” dark grey, seem they have updated the color.
