Yeah, check out the big 16 series case thread. There are few that are actually really good. That was the only thing RL got halfway right with the closed bottom version. It's still not on par with Apple though.

Sure I will take a look, thanks!. so we don’t only have to worry if they implement the CC button but if they have implemented right… man I hope that if Alex Goldfinch implement it, they do it right, and if they don’t do it, at least that RL implement it in their OB cases.

Idk if I’ll be back to leather. My Bullstrap is nice. Def got over the cutout for the cc button. It allowed the area for the cc button that was exposed to kinda get a “tan line” that took some rubbing to get out. And I’m a very very clean person.
I always use the Apple cases. Pretty much solely for the last 7 years. I always go back. I don’t think I should try any others 😂

Yeah for sure! Which colors do you have? I’m hoping for a light blue on a spring refresh tbh
They have the ice blue ocean band and a cloud blue sport loop offering (I have the ocean) so I’m optimistic

Doubt it, action button vs silent switch and the buttons probably moved 2mm
I think the Action Button could fit in the silent switch spot, unless they moved the location down. Buttons being moved would nuke it though.
Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but this is the 16E. It's based off the 16 series not the 14 series, I don't think the 14 cases are going to fit on this phone. Well at the very least the buttons aren't going to match up.
At least according to Apple’s iPhone compare page, it has the exact same dimensions as the iPhone 14 and not the iPhone 16
Got my Alex Goldfinch case in today after a long time waiting (Ordered Feb 3).
No leather smell that I can tell, but not really an issue as I hit it with some leather conditioner that smells like leather. The leather feels good though, like you would expect for real leather. Soft and doesn’t feel like plastic like some other cases do.
Fit is nice. Buttons seem fine.
No CC button - don’t care as I don’t really use it.
Open bottom- this is going to take a while to get used to. If it was a closed bottom, would be perfect to me.
Logo- not a fan, but its location on the bottom of the back of the case is OK. Bird watching/photography is a hobby of mine, so I will live with it since it is a feather logo. No logo would be preferred, but it seems like it’s getting harder to find these days.

Neither the buttons nor the action button vs silent switch are in the same place between the 16 and 14. They were all moved several mm
If I may ask, what is this leather conditioner you mentioned? And do you use it on other leather products? It's always sad for me when that smell goes away. 😂
Another one to the AG “gang” haha. Nice review! Logo seem a hit or miss, You don’t like logos in general? I personally like it, and as you said where is placed makes it very subtle.
I agree a closed bottom version with cc button will be perfect for me, but I’m quite happy with open bottom cases in general.
I’ve been with mine more and less 1 month, you will see that it only gets better with time, softer, stickier. Enjoy it
I use the griots garage leather conditioner. But I believe there are other brands out there that also smell like leather. I do use it on all kinds of leather - from car seats to my leather couch.
Thanks. Yeah, I don’t like logos in general. For sure I prefer closed bottom, but my wife just saw the case and remarked that at least the bottom will be easy to clean- she showed me her case with all of the dust buildup in the cutouts for usb and microphones. So maybe that will be a benefit of the open case.
For sure, open bottom are more clean! What I do with open bottom cases is buy a hydrogel edge protector on Aliexpress for 2€, and only apply the bottom part of it, so I cover that part from scratches, I’ve been using that trick for years and everything perfect.
