Leather Cases - Patina Proud Photos

I've done it! :)
After reading in this Forum for AGES i decided to pull the trigger and ordered myself a Ryan London in Saddle Brown for my 16 Pro Max in Natural Titanium.

I have it now since Monday and i have to say, this is SO close to the Apple Cases. It's slim, it smells good. The Buttons are a bit hard to press, but i think this will get easier with time.

EDIT: My Screen Protector is from the Apple Store, they applied it (it's the Belkin one)

Press the buttons 10-20 times each without being on the phone!

Does anybody has photos of this case patina? Ive seen a lot new but I’ve never seen one old and with rich patina , and is tempting me haha

I’m not convinced they ever existed, I’ve never seen one on any forum. I’ve patiently watched for it to be availible on Amazon for about 1 year to no avail.

It definitely existed I had one from Amazon, but for whatever reason they never restocked after the initial batch sold out unlike the other colours.
 
Here's an approximately one year old Ryan London case on an iPhone 15 Pro beside 2 other items purchase around the same time. I also own the saddle brown version and I will photograph it when my worldly belongings arrive at my new home in Japan. I really hate the way the saddle brown looked after 4 months of use being switched back and forth with this black case. I think it patina'd terribly compared to other saddle brown leather items I own.

The black case looks ok although it's just not the same quality of leather as the other two items here which are both made from Horween Chromexcel. I would love to get my hands on a REAL black Horween Chromexcel case. There are many products out there labeled as Horween Chromexcel that simply are not. Any experience with the real deal makes in painfully obvious. I suspect there is not one on the market as the case would likely cost around $100 USD which would alienate many buyers.

Interesting about the saddle brown not having a nice patina. Would you happen to have a pic?

I don't but like I said, I'll snap a pic of it when my stuff comes to Japan. I think longer term patina photos have more value than most of the shots in this thread. It just looks like cheap leather that the coating has worn off of. This black case has the same kind of thing going on too BUT because it's black, it kind of looks good. I think it photographed better than it actually is though. Compared to good leather, it's just looks lack lustre. I won't be buying another Ryan London after these two. I think this is probably why you see all of the "hey look at my 1 month patina" photo's but none with any really use.

Well my bull strap made it about 7 months before it cracked by the usb c port. The first pic is compared to the LC tan which was about the same color when they arrived (pic 2). I always heard that bull strap patinas pretty quickly but that wasn’t the case for me. The sides got a little darker than the back because I keep a MagSafe wallet on it when I go to the office 3 days a week. I was planning to switch to the LC but decided to change it up go with the Grey YMW for now. I think it looks really good on the natural titanium. I still have 10 leather cases for my 15pro so I need to use some of them before the 17 comes out.

At least you kept some spares. If I swapped cases every few weeks to every month, it shouldn’t have that issue of the port snapping off corners, to be honest.

I do use a brown MagSafe wallet, which should definitely match the leather case.
 
Saw a Ryan London case for iPhone 16 Pro Max with camera control button in black on Dutch eBay. I offered him 60 EUR, 7 EUR less than Ryan London asked. Since I am in the EU, otherwise I would have needed to pay extra taxing + handling fee. Seems like a good deal to me, then. Really looking forward to it. :)
