This feels like the OG apple leather case, looks so cool, reminds me of my iPhone X in that saddle brown ðŸ˜. I think the rounded edges also helps with that rich patina.

I agree. Rounded edges produced far nicer patina than the square edges.
Dammit that red is tempting but I'm not sure if I'll be keeping this phone or upgrading in a few months. Really liking my camel tan so far, for somebody that never uses cases.
Tech Wave one is clean, have it on the 16. Not expecting the CC version to come out on the 16 but it's nice.
I'm a serial case switcher so I've only logged about 50 days with my RL Saddle Brown but I just love the reddish hue:
oh, that Tech Wave with a camera button is finally gonna get me. I don't love the metal camera ring but at least it's not black.
After two days using the open bottom Luckycoin I’ve realized that I actually prefer the open bottom. I haven’t had an open bottom since my 12 mini and I forgot how much I liked that case design. I find it way more comfortable and the swipe up is so much nicer too. Case fits so good with no loose corners and an even lip all the way around. I’ve said it before but you really can’t beat the Luckycoin case for the price.
They are top cases. Readily available in the UK now too; 20% off on Amazon at the moment making them less than £15!!
Why would you pay Bullstrap $100 when cases like this are available?! They really do pull people’s pants down

Exactly why I went open bottom this time. Plus I think the camera bump looks better.
I didn't like the RL, because the corners are lower than the middle of the screen. The lip is uneven around the phone.
LC truly is outstanding. 1/4 the price of Bullstrap and half the price of the other major players and just as good. It’s almost like these brands all use the same factory supplier in China or something 🤔🤪

Is this the exact same feel/quality as the closed-bottom LC case? It kills me that RL's open-bottom and closed-bottom are two completely different feeling cases.
I'm trying to remember back to what my Luckycoin closed bottom felt like when it was new. That was 10 months ago but I remember it feeling kind of dry and a tiny bit rough. But that feeling went away after a couple of days of use. This case felt the same out of the box and is doing the same thing getting softer and smoother with use. To me the leather feels the exact same as what I remember. But to be fair I don't have a brand new closed bottom and new open bottom beside each other to compare. I would say they are the same leather but if there is anyone else here who has both and can comment it would be appreciated.
The lip on the open bottom case does wrap around a bit more than the closed bottom does, but I think thats the same on the RL and BS cases too. Likely just a design tweak to ensure it stays on the phone better with one side exposed. Having said that I would say it fits even tighter than the closed bottom version did which impressed me.
Because the lip wraps a bit more it does make the case look a tiny bit thicker, but I don't think it actually is any thicker. Either way I'm more than pleased with it. It solves the issue of the weak usb c port for me and allows me to be back in the LC which was always my favorite for the 15 series. All this at a fraction of the cost of the BS or RL too!
Remember the good old days of iphone X & 11 when this thread was constantly being updated with patina photos. I wish we had more of that instead of talk about buttons and which case is thinnest.
We need a general leather thread for all questions /inquiries and one that's strictly for posting patina pictures.
