I am deciding which Ebay seller to buy a 42mm Blue Leather loop from. There is the Sikai guy and the Utica guy. Sikai has it for 46.99 and the Utica guy has it for 58.81. A 12 US dollar difference. I have the real Apple Medium Black leather Loop Band and did some measurements on my own, just like the 3rd party bands show the length. My measurements for the 42mm are: Adapter ends: 34mm, Long band: around 180mm, pretty close. Short band length: around 50mm, could be 51mm. Ends: 22mm
I was looking at the dimensions from both sellers and the bands are a little different. The Sikai for the 42mm (the width of both ends of the adapter are 34mm, which seems right on. Long Band is 182mm, which is 2mm over. Short band length is listed at 61mm, which is 11mm over the Medium band. So it would be 13mm longer.
Now the Utica Guy for the 42mm. According to their listing: the width of both ends of the adapter are 33mm. If this is correct, the ends would be short inside the adapter slot, which wouldn't look that good. The Long Band length is the same as Sikai, 182mm. The Short Band length is 60mm, supposedly 1mm shorter than Sikai. My big problem with the Utica guy band is the 33mm width for the adapter. They are not open on the weekend so I can't get my answer if they measured wrong. I can't believe they would actually make it not wide enough for the adapter.
I does look as the Utica Guy use Yesoo to make the band and Sikai, I am not sure makes his bands.
Even for more money, I would order from someone in the U.S. because it would be easier to return than sending it back to China. I have also had good experience with this seller. But, if the ends for the adapter is cut too short, it will look ridiculous.
So what should I do? What would you do? Do I believe the dimensions they put up? Do I pay the extra 12 and if it is wrong, send it back?
