Those who have the 3rd party loop. It the with of the adapter a perfect fit or are all of them a little short like my pictures show. I measured the long band adapter length and it was 33mm. I should of been 34mm if it was a match. I measures the small band adapter length and in was 33 1/2 mm, almost perfect. I want to know if everyone is getting the same or are some getting it perfect fit.

Should I write the Seller and let them know. Maybe I could get a discount. She told me before I bought it that it was the exact size as the oem, especially the adapter area was the same I even mentioned to her that I had an OEM and that the adapter area of the band measured 34mm. Their site said it was 33mm and everyone else wrote 34mm. I think the Utica people actually measured the non oem band and everyone else used the true oem sizes and wrote them down. But who knows? What should I do?

I was wondering if their second listing @ 60$ is a better quality VS the 49$ ones.. Maybe the 49$ ones were the slightly defective ones.. Just a guess.

Mine are 31&32mm one side is almost flush, the other side there's a 1mm gap each side. That's for the 38mm watch.

I bought the $60 (actually 57) ones. The price just changed to $49 from the Utica guy. Maybe the $49 is the one that is now fixed. My daughter says she can't tell that it is short inside the adapter. She says it look fine. I am just debating should I send pictures of the band to the Utica guy and see what the do. The might tell me return it and they will give refund. I really don't want that. I just want, possibly a discount or, if possible, a band that fits the adapter a little better. I doubt they can guarantee that though.
What do you think I should do?

From what I've seen, some people had LL that had adapters that were either too long or too short. I think you should contact the seller and ask him to send you another LL that he has carefully measured prior shipping it to you.

Update: I am starting to see a couple of problems with the NON OEM 42mm Blue Leather Loop I got from Freedoclock09 yesterday. I do have two weeks to decide to return or not. I don't want to make any hasty decisions.

The first thing is that I am starting to see a little rash on my wrist around the outer edges of the band and it is very itchy. I looks like a red line around my wrist, closer to the body, not the hand side. My OEM Medium Black LL never did that and I have had tight and loose. I put back on my regular OEM Apple Black Leather Loop Band just for a few minutes and the itchiness seemed to disappear. I am going to wear my OEM version for the next few hours to see if the itching and red line disappears. I will put back on the 3rd Party LL again to see if I get the rash again. I only wear leather bands because I have problems with rubber, plastic and metal bands touching my skin and causing irritation to my skin, plus my arms are very hairy. This could just a weird coincidence with the itching and rash. Only time will tell. Bye the way, I know some have asked if this is real leather. Now I am not sure. The description say Genuine Leather, but I should be having a reaction to this, unless they treated the leather with some chemical that I am allergic too. Maybe in the coloring.

Second and most important, I was eating lunch and dropped something on the floor and went to pick it up with my right hand (my watch is on my right wrist) and all of sudden the strap came loose. The magnet didn't hold. I don't know if the band was too tight at the time or the way I moved my hand, but the large end was dangling. Luckily, my watch didn't come off my wrist. When I first tried it out last night, I thought the magnet was fine, but I did think it was weeker than the OEM version. This isn't the first time I dropped something from the dining room seat and picked it up like I just did earlier today. I had it happen when I was wearing my OEM LL band and the band stayed on with no problem

What should I do? It is starting to look like I might have to return the band. I really didn't want to pay 150 for another Leather Loop Band

Be careful, I just had a problem with my blue LL from him. The band came loose after I had it on for a while. The strap almost fell off. The magnet didn't hold. This only happened once but I might now return it because of this and it looks like the band might be causing a rash on my wrist. I have the oem medium black leather loop and never got a rash, or had the strap come loose like that. I put my oem LL ON AND the rash is disappearing.

I will try it first. The rash is specific to one another I think.

Yeah hopefully the reaction is just from perhaps a chemical on the band. I do hope it is real leather! Either way it is the only way to get a red one so I'll be happy with it!

As far as I know the other Macrumors people didn't have any issue with the magnet/rash.

Just got my 38mm red leather loop today, and I'm really impressed! The quality, look, fit, and feel are great. Magnets are strong, no slipping, attaches to the watch well, and the red looks great with the SS watch and the red color watch face. Here's the link to the eBay seller, with a couple of pics:

I do believe their are some sort of chemicals on the band that is causing the rash. It also might be a faux leather. I have a problem with bands except real leather on causing itching, rashes.

Did you try to clean it? I heard those LL had some extra layer of dye that come off over time.

I just gave it a good wipe with a damp cloth and let the chemical smell evaporate for 12hrs. I have really sensitive skin and its been ok.

Has anyone ordered from this seller? http://www.ebay.com/itm/381332872973
I ordered a blue leather loop Saturday. According to the seller, it shipped Monday. However, the tracking number can't be found in usps's system and according to eBay it just says shipping info received, not in transit.
The item was supposed to be located in New Jersey but I'm starting to think it's either coming from China or they are waiting to receive shipment from China before they actually send it to me. Either way it's a very shady practice and one that I don't have much patience for.

I looked up on the Apple sight on how to clean the the Leather Loop. Apple said what you said. So a couple of hours ago I took a warm damp cloth and wiped it on both side really good. Took a cloth to get off and extra water and than I just let it sit for 2 hours. I just tried it on again and so far no rash or itching. It is starting to look like it was chemicals on the band. As for the magnet strength, it might of been user error on my part. I noticed when I put on the band a 5 PM that I though the band was pulled properly through the clasp. I realized that I didn't pull the whole band all the way through. If I did that before, that is probably how the magnet came off because it was loose and I could of hit it on the chair and it caught it. As for now, I am in a wait in see mode. But it might be alright after all.

Great, glad to hear it might work out!
