I have an OEM black LL and non OEM BLUE LL. I really can't tell the difference with the feel. They both feel the same. Is it real leather, I can't say definitely, but it feels great on my wrist and no rashes on my wrist. I can only wear leather on my wrist or I have a reaction. I actually had a little reaction with the non OEM the first day, but that seemed to be some chemical on the band. Once I cleaned the band by Apple's method(cloth damp warm water and let dry overnight) I have had no problem with the band. Don't even realize it is on.
Great, so we can pretty much assume that it is real leather. Did it feel any different after you cleaned it? Like is it softer or anything?

I am not sure it is softer, it just felt less abrasive. I have very hairy arms and it now feels like it is not there on my wrist, which is good. Just like my OEM, I guess the leather gets softer with more use.

Ah ok, thanks for the info. I may try to wipe it off sometime today just so it is clean.

When cleaning it all I did was use a microfiber cloth with a little warm water, rung out the excess water on the cloth, then wiped both sides of the band. Then I used a dry microfiber cloth to mop up any excess water on the band, then I let the band dry while not on the watch overnight. The next morning I put it on and it really felt so much better on my wrist. Maybe it did feel softer.

I went to the Apple Store and tried on a few Leather Loop Bands to see the color of them. I already have an OEM Black Leather Loop and a NON OEM Light Blue Leather Loop. I tried on the Apple OEM Blue Leather Loop and noticed it was darker blue than the NON OEM. I took pictures of them side by side so you can see the difference. In the pictures the NON OEM(3rd Party) is on the left side. You will see how much lighter it is than the OEM Blue Leather Loop.

Interesting, I was thinking of doing the same thing at the Store to compare the feel of the OEM vs my red non OEM.

Texture seems to be the same, but the OEM version has more weight to it. You can really tell the difference between the band's. The OEM does feel like a better band, but quality comes at a price. The Apple person showing me the band thought the blue on the 3rd party was very nice looking. She thought for the price the non OEM band was worth it.

Yeah I guess that is to be expected since it is 1/3 of the price. In surprised they would complement the third party band! As I said earlier, this is the only way to get a red LL, so there really is nothing to compare it to in this color.

I mentioned to her that they also sell a 3rd party red version of the leather loop. She sort of hinted that their might be more colors for leather loops coming out around Christmas time. I will believe that from Apple when I see it. I also told her why I wanted a third party band. I told her it was because of the heat here in North Carolina and I didn't really want to ruin my OEM Leather Loop, because leather doesn't do well in the heat with all the sweat. I also want to wear my watch for some type of workout and I can't wear any other types of bands except leather. She understood, and said getting the 3rd party was a good idea and for the money you can't beat it. She also felt the band and said it was decent quality for knock off.

I received my 3rd party blue leather loop for 38mm watch from http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141714670274

The quality and colour is great for the price

Initial pics of red LL delivered from Utica. Bought on eBay 7/19, delivered 7/27 (6 business days).
All above adjectives hold true, it seems like a great buy! I cleaned it with a warm, moist towel, then some Lexol, an automotive leather cleaner, and now I will use Voodoo leather conditioner to try to soften it up some. I'll report back on the outcome.

I prefer the lighter blue on the Non OEM. I thought Apple's was always a tad too dark given its name - "Bright Blue".

I agree.
I wonder too if the color differences are because the one in the Apple Store has been handled a million times and has turned darker due to oils from customers hands and wrists?

I am not sure, but she said that it is the most popular Leather Loop color and everyone that works at the Apple Store loves it because it matches their Apple navy blue work shirt. She did say it is close to a navy blue color. I do believe it is that color or pretty close when new.

Yeah, I believe so too. I've only tried the OEM one on once but I do remember it being darker than the 3rd party one that I have. I just assume the oils in our hands will slightly affect the color over time but probably not as much as shown in your pictures. Either way, they are both nice shades of blue and for 1/3 the price, I'm pretty happy with mine.

Was it you that ordered a leather loop from Inkoo888. I bought from freedomoclock09 and wanted to but another band but inkoo888 is so much cheaper. Just wanted to know if he is safe to order from and it's his band as good as freedomoclock09

Just received it! Awesome quality! Feels like my Link Bracelet but in leather :)

I don't know if I was the only one or not, but I had some issues with tracking my shipment. The only time it was ever updated was when I would email him and ask him what was going on with shipment. It took 10 days from when I ordered to when I recieved it( which was today) and the only updated shipment I got was about 30 min before it was delivered.
If you purchase through him you have to stay on top of him. I don't think I would buy from him again, but with that said, he did deliver.
My loop didn't come in the same box that everyone else is getting. It just came in a little plastic bag with I watch on the front and no branding. Seemed a little shady, but the product was decent. I imagine they are all coming from the same place and just being packaged differently.

I hate to have to spend $13 more for the same item. Is saving 13 worth the headache. That is a tough question for me to answer. When ordering, what was your delivery window? Did he deliver in that window for you? If he did deliver after the window, should you ask for something back, like a partial refund?

It says if I order today, the window is between July 30 to August 4th. Do I ask him before ordering if the order is trackable. How long to process, etc?

Also, how is the quality of the band, especially the width of the adapter. Does the leather part of the adapter fill up the groove, or are they a little short on both sides? Is the adapter a perfect fit. If the band is good, I might be willing to take a shot at it. He does have a return policy of 30 days and ebay guarantees.

got a blue from utica. i wish it was bluer but it's definitely brighter than the apple one which is nice.
