For me my Apple Watch and corporate emails are keeping me on iOS. I know a lot of people hate the AW, but I love my and have spend way to much money on bands. I honestly would not want to move back to android for that reason alone. I have used an Android Wear watch as well, but I really like the AW better. Just me though. Nothing against android wear at all.

The biggest thing though is my work email. It works much better with the iOS stock mail app, and I don't have to agree to let my company take over my phone if they need to on iOS. I don't like the message they give me on android that they can deactivate and wipe my phone at any point. Maybe this is more of my company thing this iOS vs android, but email is a very important part of my work life, so I need it to work flawlessly.

Again I have nothing against android, and would love to give it a try from time to time, but those to things plus having so much Apple stuff in my house keep me with Apple.

I have a AW and a Huawai Android watch, so I have always loved going between the 2, I figure Ill keep my 6 Plus so if I have a day where I miss my AW I can slip the SIM Card into the iPhone and use it for a few days :)

Which watch do you like better? I have not tired the Huawai.

I love the look of the Huawai just because its a full circle, polished bezel and has the Sapphire Glass and the Always On Screen I love. Funny thing, I have had more compliments on my Huawai watch than I ever have had on my AW lol

Haha that is crazy. I love my Apple Watch and I like being able to switch out bands any time. I think I have spent more on bands then the watch by like double or triple. I have the Hermès band, so that alone cost over half the watch.

Yeah I know reviewers want to hate on it, but I love mine. I actually think I like it more then my phone. I have always been a watch guy, and adding tech to it was just icing on the cake for me.

Honestly it really does not have to do anything super special. It give me notifications and tells the time. That was a good for me. Maybe a few more watch face option, and we are go to go.

My only negative on it is speed but that is fixed in the 3.0 update next month

My only negative dislike on the AW is the lack of Watch Faces choices, I wish Apple would allow 3rd party faces, They could make a killing off a section of the app store dedicated to that. My Huawai Watch came with close to 60 pre installed faces and many look so real, Love it.

Yep 100% agree. I don't want junk ones, but if they could control it, and add quality ones I would be all for it.

Not crazy at all...love my AW as well. And I have the Huawei as well. The HW is beautiful, much more classic look obviously but I never heard any comments about it, probably because without looking closely or seeing me use it, it just looks like any other watch. I love the look but prefer watchOS--more seamless integration and better functionality, IMO.

The AW is a huge reason I stay with iOS. I love wearing a smartwatch and the AW/iPhone combo is a better setup than Android/AW, for my preferences. Using iOS or Android in a vacuum, and I could easily choose Android. But we don't use our phones in a vacuum and how they interact with all of our other tech, at least speaking for myself, plays a huge role in my choices.

Really looking forward to the change coming in watchOS 3.0.

I think the always on screen is what gets peoples attention on my HW.

That's how I feel as well. But that makes me wonder if I'm just a fan of smart watches in general, or specifically the Apple Watch.

Well I have had the original Pebble, OG Moto 360, and the AW. The AW is by far my favorite.

Switching between platforms would be so much easier if also Apple Watch were cross-platform. I have an LG G Watch in addition to my Apple Watch and while I can use the LG also with my iPhone, the Apple Watch spanks it so hard it's not even funny anymore. If I could pair my Apple Watch with an Android device (even with limited functionality similarly as when pairing Android Wear to iOS), things could get really interesting regarding my next phone.

My hope is that if I switch the Gear S2 can be similar to Apple Watch functionality. At least for my use case anyway.

Be sure to have some hands on time with the Gear S2 before you factor that in as a possibility. I tested it for the first time today and found it utterly inferior to my AW in terms of hardware quality and software design/smoothness too. Note that I'm not an Apple fanboi, I'm just about to preorder a Note 7 and sell my iPhone 6 Plus. However I'm aware that in doing so I'll be giving up using a smart watch. If I miss it too much, maybe next year ill go back to iPhone 7s/8 and AW.

And you've just answered exactly why that's not going to happen. Apple doesn't want you buying anyone else's phone. ;)

Looks like Samsung will be announcing the S3 at IFA next month so you may not have to go without if there are enough changes to hit your smart watch preferences.

Yes, I wasn't exactly holding my breath on that as I'd run out of oxygen way too quickly :D It's a dream that would make my life easier but it's also practically never going to happen.

How do you like the G Watch? I was thinking of getting one to go with my Huawai when my Note 7 comes.

It was fine before I got my Apple Watch, but now it's been mostly sitting in a drawer powered down. The charging pins needed occasional cleaning and with the lack of heart rate sensor I got some occasional bogus cycling credits for driving my car in a slow traffic, but in general it was OK with both iOS and Android. Naturally it had much more capabilities when paired with an Android phone.
