I told the lady the same thing and she said since you resorted it fixes the problem and she said no should I go back tomorrow again and tell her I'm still having problems

What I did was call apple support first and told them I had wifi issues the guy wrote a support ticket and I showed the guy at apple the support ticket. And he automatically replaced my phone

What did you tell him exactly about what's happening with the wifi

Ok I will do that if I have any problems can I send you a pm

What's the number that you called apple at?

I called my local store but it connected to Customer support. And you can pm me but I barley go on Mac rumors

Can you explain more please
Tell them that the power button has been fluctuating and that its a sporadic issue. They cannot replicate that and hopefully, with the genius that you get, will be receptive.

And FYI, Apple will soon stop changing out problematic iPhones for in house repairs.

Will the AWS 1700 band on the replacement iPhone offer signal improvement or is it strictly for data speeds?

I'm getting 1 bar of signal in my room and many other areas. Maybe I should've stayed on Straight Talk :(

Have you done the carrier update?

Yea. Did a restore to 6.1.4 as well. Lost my Jailbreak :(

It's for data speeds, and also for signal where old model 1428 couldn't receive Tmo 1700 AWS. You will see a noticeable difference, but from my experience, not great. For now until tmo finishes their refarming.

If anyones seen macrumors front page lately...I would jump to the nearest apple store and get the iPhone replaced now! soon they wont be replacing the iPhones...instead repairing them in the stores = no excuse will get anyone a AWS iPhone 5....I'm definitely going to get mine replaced in next week now and ditch my jailbreak.

Is anyone experiencing worse battery life on the tmobile aws replacements? My battery is going down 2 times faster then without aws model

If you read it you still have until fall. They roll out the changes in fall.

Nope mine has been working fine actually. Make sure to do a battery charge cycle for your newly replaced iPhone before fully using it.

So do the replacements have to be unlocked phones? Like what if you're getting an AT&T iPhone replaced? Will the replacement be an AWS iPhone?

I'm thinking of asking my relative to get it replaced now so i don't have to worry about it when buying it and also so that I can ditch the roll out they're having for the apple care. I know it says fall but better safe than sorry.

My replacement phone seems to have a much battery life than the previous one. Btw, what is a "battery charge cycle"? Thanks!

Do you have other apple store locations in your area? It took me 3 tries at 3 different stores to get them to replace mine. The 3rd store the guy offered me a replacement without testing it.

It should help. At work my unlocked AT&T version got 1-2 bars and Edge. With the AWS version I get more bars and 4G.

Got my iPhone swapped out today for a new A1428 model with AWS HSPA+. Mine had an issue with WiFi and Bluetooth. Had to try two stores before they swapped out my phone. Happy now though.
