Yup I think its all about the genius you get, and just wondering since you drive in lynwood which is close to bellevue have you ever gotten LTE in bellevue yet?

Only a few parts in Bellevue has LTE, they still haven't rolled it out completely yet all through out Seattle metro.

Hey I'm wondering would it be possible for Apple to replace the white one with a black one?

Or do they run a same model/same color type thing?

Do they give you the replacement in a box that says 1700/2100? Like will it say on the box or you gotta turn phone on

The replacement have the serial numbers on the backside of the box. The earlier pages of this thread have the serial numbers listed.

Your replacement will have the same color.

Alright, I thought that's how it would be. I think the one I'll be purchasing from my relative is a white one! I hope they'll be able to let me buy it off them before their year warranty is up (I think they got it in November) not really sure if they bought Apple care.

They do give you a new one

Please correct me if i'm wrong, but from reading all these posts, they are "new" refurbs from the first two letter designation model #'s.
New out of box are different also. From my understanding.

They are new but build for exchange, this is why they are given a different number.

If you get a replacement does the warranty restart for your replacement phone?

No it does not. From experience from myself and others, it continues from purchase of original phone. Apple just inputs old serial # from phone you turn in, purchase date is already in their system, and just applies it to exchange unit.

Have you tried the often on, often off power button issues?

Just got mine replaced at apple store in south center. Just told him my wifi is slow on certain routers and that I've restored my iPhone and updated it. He didn't even ask anymore questions just went to go get me a iPhone 5 and it took 5 minutes. Mine does support tmobile aws and came with 6.1.4. FHC1
