I read the article, and I don't see anywhere that the Dev Team or chronic dev have acknowledged this jailbreak as real. We all hope that this is true, of course, but there's just nothing here besides tweets and some pretty pictures. Pictures can be faked, and people have lied about having jailbreaks before.
 
I will be very apprehensive.

I'm not really finding the whole "OMG BUY A SHIRT" thing to be good either.

Why would anyone buy a shirt for a, as far as we know, completely fake jailbreak group with no reputation or product.

I am hoping they are legitimate.

like_a_sir seems extremely immature, childish, and obnoxious for his age. (He is in college for ****'s sake. He needs to grow up)

The other developers that got in with him seem to have readable twitter feeds that aren't full of 14 year old rage-speak.
 
Normal accepted proof is a video with a working cydia, working iOS 6 explicit apps, working iPhone 5 explicit features and an untethered reboot of the device, none of these have surfaced.....
 
i'm holding out getting an iPhone 5 until there's a jailbreak. sounds like these guys are on to something!
 
for those too lazy to check twitter, musclenerd says it's fake because the two "ads" in Cydia are not the ones that should have been shown yesterday and thus they probably took the screenshot from chpwn.

But, why? Really. Why would he wanna put them to rest? Hes looking for provocation. No doubt. The charm in provoking a large group of hackers is something he likes, obviously. I admire that. If it shows that hes legit.
 
Although I'm really skeptical, I really hope it's true. I miss my SBSettings and biteSMS SOO MUCH!!! :(:(:(:(
