MuscleNerd would not have Tweeted this unless it was significant

And if you read their Twitter, they wanted to demo this on an iPhone5, but we're unable to purchase one.
So it was demo'ed on a 4S

We really don't know enough to even guess at a timeline for a public jailbreak. Some of the big open questions are whether they have an untethering exploit, if that exploit will work on all devices, whether it breaks native apps/functionality, whether all of the techniques used can be publicly released, etc. Then there's testing, debugging, and incorporating it into existing GUI tools. Then another round of testing. Not to mention that they won't release until Cydia and MobileSubstrate have been updated and thoroughly tested. The days of Geohot releasing a hastily-coded solo effort are long gone.

Extrapolating from the past I'd say that were looking at at least 4-6 weeks. If we're lucky we might have a nice Thanksgiving present.

Do you think its about weeks or months ahead - if you are saying this is significant?

You would have saved us a lot of effort and time if this question had been the #3 posting…
It is also what pod2g(the guy who did the last 2 jailbreaks) said last week, it also helps if you are willing to listen people, not really honouring your nick in that respect...

The things you bring up here are rather interesting. I'm sure it's like I'm way out of control , expecting this to hit the port in the upcoming hours. I'm well aware this is gonna kill some time. It's just that I haven't been into this stuff this deep before. I had the 3G when it first released (never got a 2G), but the thing is - jailbreaking back then was new and exciting, even if I didn't know squat about the process back then .. But what you're mentitioning here is Geohot. I would really appreciate if you wanna share what happened back then - was he doing all the updates himself and that was what causing many crashes? ( i might be all out in the blue over here).

You speak the truth. I should be reminded in that aspect. But I think I'm doing quite well in looking for what people have to say . I'm sure you are more cunning in these areas and that you have heard all this before and so on but it's something different every time.

What's most irritating, is that as far as proof goes, the only one with any potential exploits is the one who posted the YouTube video (not iike_a_sir). I can't believe he was busy basically ... designing shirts? How about you first create the product before promoting it?

They should have known by now, that you are a fake until you prove yourself. Too often have people started drama and had no real jailbreak to show for it.

sorry guys…

@ljscott @keshiaryan07 @iike_a_sir @antoneglia they're all f4kes

Now can the mods move this to the wasteland?

To add to this,

@dwaynefortman made his twitter private, after he "passed the exploit" to his "brother" on twitter  Funny, didn't realize exploit research ran in the family.

@ragemasta is clearly fake, never contributing anything real. As far as I'm concerned, it's a fake account made by @dwaynefortman or @iike_a_sir

@iike_a_sir never had anything to show, and is clearly immature judging by his twitter account

It's all just crap. Hopefully we see the #Magiic this week!

Okay well that escalated quickly. What can we expect from hashtag magiic

Anybody but the Dev_team and chronic has to prove them selves. Time will tell while i'sd love to see another great hacking team chances are very slim. There have been tons of fakes over the years.
