I ordered mine less than two minutes after the store went back up on the 15th. I ordered the base config, nothing different and choose 2-3 day shipping(fastest avaliable). NO CHANGE!

I called Apple and they said that none have shipped. I told them that I know of many people's that has shipped. He continued to say that none have shipped, and then spoke to a manager, who said the the same thing! WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON HERE!?

When checking your Apple order, in the blue header bar, what time does it say your order was placed?

Custom configurations?

Has anyone seen any status changes for custom configurations? I went for the 1.8Ghz / 80GB HDD and my dates are Feb 11/18.

I ordered on January 18th.

Everyone is talking about stock configuration, but no one is mentioning any custom configs...

It says 10:41AM

When was the first order, does anyone know?

All I know is I was watching the live updates on macrumors and constantly refreshing apple.com store at the same time, and the MOMENT I saw it was back up I placed an order.

Thanks for posting the user's manual.

Interesting thing though, obvious but I bet overlooked; the manual points out that the magsafe connector has a magnet which may erase credit card strips, ipods and harddrives which should all be kept at least 1" away from the connector. Anyone heard any horror stories about this? :D

My order says 10:39 AM. But I ordered a CTO 1.8GHz/80HD, so it has yet to ship.

Just a point to everyone who has lost productivity due to constantly checking their shipping status (me included): China is 13 hours ahead of the East Coast USA. This means that 8:00 AM for them is 7:00 PM for us and 5:00 PM for them is 4:00 AM for us. Now we all know that Apple does not use slave labor over there (anymore?), so assuming they only prepare and ship during business hours you can take a break from checking status during your normal work day.

Now once the packages hit Alaska, it is a completely different story.

My order was a standard 1.6/80gb ordered at 10:50 AM PST the day of the keynote, is now "Prepared"

mine is...

Order Date: Jan 15, 2008 at 10:23 PM PST
MACBOOK AIR 13/1.6/2GB/80GB-USA
Ships by: 6 Feb
Delivers by: 18 Feb

"Not yet shipped" status

I think we will get the 10.5.2 update soon as Apple provides us with Keynote, Pages and Numbersupdates (multitouch?).
"This update addresses compatibility with Mac OS X."

Mine is 10:40am. With 10:41am, indeed I would have expected yours to ship too. (I think someone on this forum is 10:47am and reported shipped.)

You have my sympathies. I hope yours does ship soon.

Prepared for Shipment

Mine just changed to Prepared for shipment ordered 15 Jan, 2008 en 02:23 PM PST in Mexico Store, any international orders yet shipped?

Tracking inside the USA?

Anyone have a tracking # that shows their Macbook Air inside the USA. A recent user posted that he spoke with Apple support and they said "none were shipping", I am wondering if this means the systems are staging only for delivery later?

??? ???

any shipments to europe yet?

Seemingly not I am afraid. Rather irritating, unless of course they dispatch a share of them to their Netherlands hub and then distribute them accordingly afterwards and inform us.

If it turns out they are purposely delaying Europe shipments over USA then that is a bit crappy.

Custom config ordered

Hi,

Have placed following order on Jan 28 (yesterday):

- 1.8 Ghz/ 80 GB
- Superdrive

Current Status: not yet shipped (no surprise there !)
Ships by: Feb 19

For the US

I visited the Rockingham Apple store today and spoke to an employee who told me they will be putting up new window displays Thursday night. Based on that info, Friday seems like a pretty good bet for in-store availability.

Swapping from HDD to SDD ?

By the way, question for you while we waiting regarding my order. So far, for my order, have chosen HDD rather than SDD: capacity (higher) and price (lower).

That said, I be able to, at some point in the future, replace the HDD with an SDD ? Under what conditions ?

Thanks for the insight...
