Don’t get me wrong. The iPhone X is a stunning phone but Apple is behind by like 3 miles. The next iPhone seriously needs to be top notch if apple wants to keep up.

In what way is it better? We know the brightness of the OLED screen of the iPhone is lower than most competitors. I am not sure if this is because Apple doesn't want to run into burn-in problems or any other issues.
And in which other way would the Huawei Mate 10 have a better screen? The iPhone has the only real edge-to-edge display. The notch is a simple technological limitation apple would have removed if possible. But most phones have a bezel on the top and bottom, they are only running edge to edge horizontally, not vertically. The iPhone is basically corner-to-corner at this stage. Once the technology allows it, the notch will disappear and you have an all screen phone. So I actually see the iPhones display as superior except for the brightness.

Dude. It’s not edge to edge. There are bezels as well as the unibrow. Do you not see the bezels? They’re black, and they extend all around the screen. They’re even rounded.

Have fun!

Out of curiosity, what’s “true” edge to edge display in your opinion?

No bezels I reckon. Not that I care. I don’t have a problem with bezels.

I see a lot of people shouting about “no bezels”. Not sure how they are planning to hold the damn phone without any bezels. ‍♂️

Edge to edge
with bezels similar to the iphone 8 plus on the left and right does not make it edge to edge....this is such a false assumption....looks like a case is already attached to the device with those left and right bezels. And let's not forgive the hideous notch.

Huawei makes some quality budget gadgets. I had to google the phone though. Here is a pic for reference. I wouldn’t change the X for it.

The iPhone and Huwaeii are competing on two different platforms. If somebody wants to migrate over to the Mate 10, then they would have to want appreciate android as well. And for some, that's a transition that many don't want to do if they have been used to iOS for so long.

Lol, "Edge to Edge" when it has a huge part of it missing make my it less immersive

When we talk about Best Display here we talk about the actual Quality of the panel.

It might have minimal bezels, sure. Samsung is practically "faking" edge-to-edge with their curved screen. But even that one has minimal bezels. The thing with bezels is also, that something "non-touchable" should be there, so that you can actually grab it?

If you say the iPhone has no edge-to-edge, then well, NOBODY has it, not even Samsung. If it really means the display going to the edge of the hardware.
