MOD NOTE: You just can't have it both ways.

In a subforum like this and particularly in a thread like this you will get diverse strongly held points of view and different direct experiences with them.

You all need to accept that that might actually be the case without simply telling other users to stop posting or to google a problem that they themselves have not experienced. We have rules against both types of post precisely because they don't lead to productive discussion.

We don't and physically can't read every post in every thread. We also won't agree with and act on every report that is made. We do however take each and every report seriously and act where we believe it is warranted.

I personally don't live in an Android free zone and have owned three Android based devices among the plethora of iOS/OS X devices that I use daily. I currently have a Moto G LTE and a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 in the house. Someday I may get an upgrade to Lollipop on these devices and be able to experience its bugs directly too.

Right now for me the only iOS 8.1.1 bug that bothers me is on my iPhone 6, switching orientation doesn't work anywhere near as fluidly as in the past. I have to make exaggerated movements to get it to switch between portrait and landscape modes. I'm sure they'll fix this at some point, and even if they don't it doesn't affect my usage much if at all.

All our household iOS 8 devices are very stable whereas my Nexus with Lollipop suddenly became very laggy and even though the lock screen is active suddenly I can just wake up the device and have full access without using any pattern or code to unlock it!! I have never experienced such a bad bug with iOS. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Edit: also on Lollipop my wallpaper decided itself to be solid blue instead of the image I set as wallpaper until the next time I rebooted.

And yet, Lollipop is only available for a small amount of devices at this point, and I know of several bugs already. And I don't even own an Android device.
Is iOS 8 buggy? Hell yes, it is. No one is debating that.

I've been using the Nexus 6 since it's release, and have yet to encounter a single bug or crash.

I'm certain that many if not most iPhone 6/6+ users have the exact same experience with iOS 8. There are bugs in both, major and minor, but not everyone will be affected by every bug.

And that has what to do with my statement, exactly?

The thread topic is "Lollipop vs iOS 8.1.1 bugs".

I'm just pointing out that your reported experience is the majority experience on both platforms despite what one might think by reading one of these threads.

I've already reported on the one behavior in iOS 8 on my iPhone 6 that affects my experience slightly...
