I had that issue with a couple of my albums, I think signing out and back in to iTunes fixed it.

Thanks. I actually solved my issue by deleting the album and re-adding it again. Made the track visible in iTunes, though I'm sure your method works too. Doesn't solve the issue of songs being missing for licensing reasons, but that will likely only apply to compilations.

Here's a good example of this - an album called Hats Off To The Buskers by The View (who, by the way, are a UK band).

Track 7 is called "Face For The Radio" and is the only greyed out for me. And if I play track 6, as soon as it ends, track 8 starts, so 7 is clearly, definitely, unavailable for streaming in Apple Music here in the UK. Why, I have no idea.

But how can one song from the band based in the same country be unavailable due to licencing issues.

I think iCloud will blow a fuse one day. Slow downloads, songs unavailable, all kinds of glitches in the store. Music not updating across all devices at the same time (sometimes takes hours to see it on other device). Some songs even if available just won't play for some reason (like waiting for server with no response).

What makes you say that?

Because you aren't likely to license 11 out of 12 tracks of a studio album. What would be the point of that? I can understand it with compilations, as various record labels are all on the same record, so obviously different licensing deals apply for each artist, which may result in some songs not being available, but a label is unlikely to grant Apple the rights to only 9/10 songs on a studio album. It makes no sense.

Edit - I tried the track you mention above and you are right, it is greyed out in iTunes, so ignore my whole post lol. What a dumb move that is. Hope it's just a glitch.

That makes sense. But see my previous post about the album Hats Off To The Buskers for an example that makes no sense

See my edit above bud - you are correct and I take it back 100%. Very bizarre. I hope it's a glitch.

Edit - that track isn't even written by a different person, which was another thought I had. It's also available on Spotify.

Yep, and it wasn't even one of their big single, it was a filler track on the album (tracks 6 and 8 were 2 of their big hits)

The only song I'm interested in on the album Romanza (Remastered) by Andrea Bocelli is "Time To Say Goodbye". It's track 15 on the album and it's the only one greyed out!

Could someone else in the UK check if it's greyed out for them:

What really annoys me is that it will suggest something for me - so I click on it only to find 10 out of 11 tracks are not available and greyed out ! What is the point !

Does anyone at Apple actually use this stuff !

Especially frustrating given that the Apple Store UK Music page says, under Membership:

"Get access to the full Apple Music library"
