Ok... I have a brand new MacBook Pro (13") with the M1 chip and this situation with the mouse disconnecting and reconnecting to Bluetooth is driving me INSANE. (Apple Magic Mouse) Zero issues with the keyboard, just the mouse. Anyone know when there will be a fix or is there one yet? Grrrrrr!!!!!!!!!

are you quite sure it's Bluetooth? My trackpad is working just fine but my mouse keeps disconnecting. The mouse is on a wireless dongle and not BT. It seems more of a problem with input devices than BT in particular on my mini M1

It also rather depends on what I'm doing, using the System Preferences probably stops my mouse about 1 in 5 times, the trackpad works and once I use that the mouse fires up again.

My MAC Mini arrived yesterday. No problems connecting the Apple Keyboard but it struggled with my Logitech Mouse. It saw the mouse in the Bluetooth settings giving the option to connect but it wouldn’t. My mouse is one that can connect with three devices. The Mac Mini showed two connections. But would connect with neither. I switched the mouse off for a short time. Made sure any other device it may have been connected to was also off, then switched on again and started pairing. It worked but it was not instant. I left it trying to pair for a couple of minutes having seen this issue before with my old iMac. It eventually connected properly and works fine. There is certainly a time lag waiting for the connection. Other Bluetooth devices such as my Bose speaker, it saw immediately.

No problems at all connecting my Apple Mouse, but I prefer the Logitech.

Yes, issues with apple BT keyboard on wake. Also have intermittent issues with Apple Watch unlock, which may be related. MacMini.
The unlock provision with my Apple Watch is hit and miss. It worked first time I set it. I was then told there was an update to Big Sur. I installed that and lost the unlock provision. It still shows as set but does not work. There is a workaround for this which involves deleting redundant files. I need to find it and try it with Big sur.

A comment made above made me think. The long delay in the Logitech mouse being accepted could be other devices in the same area. I have two Hue bridges, a security bridge as well as the Wi-Fi router. All nearby. Although they don’t work on Bluetooth.

I have been, so far, unable to connect any of my Apple BT peripherals to my Mini base model that arrived yesterday

It just, just, may be that a complete power off, leave off for a few minutes with no power attached and then back on again could resolve the issue. The computer resets itself, particularly after lots of new installations. Same applies with the iPhone and iWatch.

I am having an issue with my MacBook Pro and the same Bluetooth issue. I have tested a Logi Anywhere 3, Magic Mouse 2, and Magic Keyboard. I tried to see if the disconnection happens intermittently or under heavy SoC load and warmth (since the M1 doesn't get hot). It didn't make a difference. More often it's just after 10 or 15 mins of use. I have tried it outside as well to see if other devices are interfering and it didn't matter. Hopefully, Apple addresses this quickly. Additionally, once it disconnects, the devices start the cycle of connecting and disconnecting until I reboot.

This is most likely an issue of using a lot of non-Apple bluetooth devices. Switch them all off bluetooth, and then see if the problem goes away. If you can't do that at your location, go to another building where you can eliminate all that noise.

A lot of these non-Apple products are terrible for building bluetooth noise that ruins your wireless experience.
The only BT I use is my AirPods and AirPods Pro and they both "stutter" periodically with my MacBook Air.

I replaced a Mac mini 2018 with this Mac mini M1,
and the new Mac doesn't recognize my old Logitech MX Anywhere 2S mouse in any way.
But the Logitech K810 keyboard works flawless with the new Mac.

I can workaround this issue by using a Logitech Unifying USB receiver for the mouse only.
But it worked with the old Mac, at the same place, with the same devices.

pretty sure its BT since most users are complaining about magic mouse etc.

same for me that my airpod pros (BT) work perfectly fine

It's definitely BT. I only use Apple products and with this new MacBook Pro M1, my keyboard is fine but the mouse is doing what I have seen others complaining about as well. (e.g.- connecting, disconnecting, freezing, then disconnecting, then re-connecting, etc...) Royal pain in the ass. They need a fix A.S.A.P.

I love macrumors. It helps me find potential issues to worry about that I may never have. Just tried my AirPods and was amazed at how far I can go in the apt and no cutout at all.

I did setup as new and didn't migrate. Not sure if that is an issue for some.

I was able to resolve this problem by the following steps: Press Shift + Option then click on the Bluetooth icon in the menu bar and select Reset the Bluetooth module, click OK, restart the Mac. Reconnect mouse, keyboard, etc. No further problems.

I am having issues with all Bluetooth devices I connect to my M1 Macbook Pro. Must be a software issue that I hope they can patch soon. All my Bluetooth headphones including a pair of air pods all cut out really bad and quite frequently. Ironically the air pots are the Bluetooth earphones that are cutting out the worst.
All my Bluetooth devices cut out too with MacBook Air M1. My PC, my Android phone, my wife's Sony phone, my daughter's iPhone XR... They only connect for few seconds and then cut out. Apple need to fix it ASAP. I can buy a 300$ PC laptop or Chromebook and all those devices will work like they should. It's difficult to understand why Apple can't fix this BT problem on their products. They don't want to fix it or what the hell is it? It's 2 trillion $ company so one would think they can fix it easily. Anyways it's a bummer.

AirPods Pro having connectivity issues on my MBA. Aside from that I haven't had many issues.

I wonder if people with the issues are setting up as new or migrating data over? I setup as new and my AirPods seem fine.

I also setup my M1 Mac Mini as new and I can't use AirPods Pro. Constantly dropouts of sound.
