Yes, I started a similar thread related to my AirPods (both Pro and V2 but mostly the Pro) where the audio stutters for a split second every 10-20 minutes.
I have same issue but with Bluetooth connection to my Denon amp, every 10-20 mins or so it cuts out for a split second just as you described I’m using a MacBook Air m1

I tested some Bluetooth headphones I have and whilst listening to a podcast today, they cut out for a few seconds, making the person sound like Norman Collier, around 5 times over 90 mins.

Just happened again so as I’m on the beta to try to report and cure some of these issues I reported it using the feedback app, as soon as I opened the feedback app it started stuttering like mad, as I started typing it got worse then after about ten seconds it stopped, almost like the cpu clock speed was to low, like in the old days when you tried to play a mp3 on a 486

OK, so I can make the audio dropouts go away completely by doing one of two things:
1 - turn off wifi
or
2 - switch the wifi network I use from 5g to 2.4g

Now I also noticed that if I switch to 2.4 and then back to 5g with the headphones connected, it then runs fine without any dropouts. So obviously this problem is tied to Wifi, and I imagine people who say their M1s that don't have a problem aren't using 5g WiFi networks.

Also having issues with Airpods Pro and M1 Mac Mini... every 1-2 minutes short break in the sound... I use ethernet cable, but left Wifi on for Apple watch. Will try to disable it to see if it helps, but I hope they can fix this...

Disabling wifi doesn't seem like a viable solution for most people but I can add that switching to 2.4ghz seems to have made the AirPods stuttering problem go away for me. Though not an ideal solution it's better than the annoying stutters. Again, hoping Apple comes out with a fix soon.

My bluetooth headphones often 'stutter' when listening to music on my M1 MacBook Pro. The audio cuts out for a second or so before resuming automatically (this happens repeatedly).

I posted about this on Apple Community last week. Apple contacted me a few days ago and said that this is something they want to investigate. They asked me to produce and send some diagnostic files which I have done. Hopefully they release a software update soon (assuming this isn't a hardware fault which I think is unlikely).

Please update us if you get more information from Apple! Many thanks!

I have an M1 Mac mini. Used with a Logitech mouse that uses a dongle (not bluetooth) and a Magic Keyboard previous generation model. Was working okay for about a day. I connected a Logitech Mx bluetooth and then after started having big problems, I don't know if it's related or coincidence. Keyboard problems were so bad I restarted computer thinking it was some other crash. After that I kept having keyboard connecting and disconnecting within seconds. Or starting off with key presses not recognised. I contacted Apple support who said I needed to upgrade Big Sur and if that doesn't work I can return it in within 14 days (in UK I think it's 30 days if broken) . Which I did but it's started again. I only have this wireless keyboard. This message is fine now but 10 minutes ago it was connecting and disconnecting.

If it's a hardware fault of course I will send it back for a replacement but if Apple has made no comment then I might get another doing the same. Anybody else going through the same thing do you think this could just be a software issue and what are you doing about it?

Great if switching WiFi works for you that are having problems.

What's curious is that you switch to 2,4 GHz and it fixes your issue. With the well documented interference between 2,4 GHz WiFi and BT I would have thought that it was the WiFi that particular WiFi band that was the culprint.

For myself I have no BT problems, but I run wired. I do have WiFi enabled (connected to my 5 GHz network) for AirDrop and AW unlock, but it's not used for connection to my network.

This seems to be working for me, I connect my airpods to the laptop, then start a video playing on youtube. When I switch from the 5g network to the 2.4g I can hear the sound stutter or cut out. Then I switch it back to the 5g network, it cuts out again, then seems to work from then on. I have the 2.4g network not set to autoconnect so it stays on my 5g unless I need the 2.4g for resetting bluetooth again.

Also having intermittent connection issues on the mini with apple trackpad. Keyboard seems fine. I've connected my trackpad via cable until Apple fixes it - disabling wifi or switching to a 2.4ghz is not an option for me.

Anyone try 11.1 beta 2 yet?
Installed the beta here. Unfortunately, no change. In particular, my Bowers & Wilkins PX headphones and Apple trackpad both stutter when the headphones are in headset mode in apps like Zoom or my work softphone.

Sure I can work around this with wired devices but I expect a new computer to work as advertised or at least have Apple acknowledge the issue. If they don't do so this month, I will need to return mine before the holiday return period ends.

I don't have these issues with my old 2015 15" MacBook Pro I was previously using as my desktop machine nor my 2019 16" MBP.

Hi everyone!

Just got off the phone with Apple Support and was told that they're aware of the issue and it is software related.

The current workaround is to turn FileVault off, as it is "jamming up the Bluetooth I/O".

I've only just done this myself so not sure if this has solved the problem, but thought I'd let everyone know.

One thing worth noting, Apple Support mentioned that my vote on the issue for priority on a fix was added to the list, so if you are having this issue too it'd be worth giving Apple a call to get your vote in (obviously pretty frustrating this isn't a top priority anyway).

In the meantime hopefully we have a workaround to this issue.

I'll post an update if my Magic Mouse disconnects again.
