I also have this issue. My MBA M1, won’t turn on. Tried all the solutions and no fix.

Less than 6 months and the MBA is toasted.

I don’t have a Apple Store near and I’m abroad. Disappointed.

I thought the issue was fixed with 11.2.2 . How did it happen?

I was using a cheap GAN charger from Ali Express. The Macbook is fine but my charger stopped working only after 2-3 months :p

It could just be a random hardware failure. The reports dropped off so much that I have to believe that Apple fixed the main issue. That doesn’t mean a MacBook couldn’t fail for some other reason.

Yes, as it is an isolated case, it was probably a cable or hub failure that toasted the Mac. Or even a bad Mac logic board.

It happened to me with a bad cable charging two iPods and one iPhone... the charging cable (30-pin back then) toasted the three of them.

Bad luck, sorry mate...! Try getting Apple to replace the Mac and throw the cable and hub to the trash can just in case.

Been running fully up to date Big Sur for past two 2 weeks using only official Apple HDMI dongle not using PD - now it’s occasionally freezing, usb ports are intermittent and has diagnostic codes of PPP007, PPP008 for power supply and NDR005, NDR006 for track pad.
Whatever happened to your situation? Did things settle out and work correctly when using a hub?

When you saw the NDR005/006 codes, were you experiencing any trackpad issues? I ran into an issue twice in January with my 2 month old M1 MBA where I could not use the left mouse button function for either the trackpad, Magic Mouse 2, or wired mouse. Diagnostics showed the two NDR codes. After a few hours functionality remained. After a clean Monterey install per Apple Store genius instructions, I saw the error codes when I ran diagnostics with the MM2 mouse connected. Error codes went away after disconnecting the MM2. So have been working w/o a mouse for a few weeks for fear of losing trackpad function.

I have a MacBook Pro M1 (14'). I use only genuine Apple "dongles" (USB-C to USB-A) and the original charger (Magsafe only !), but one day my MacBook wouldn't turn on. I have used it "normally" before and just turned it off and stored it in its bag (batteries were fully charged because i used it with the Magsafe/charger). The LED on the Magsafe does not turn yellow or green, it just does nothing. All this "pressing buttons for 10 secs" stuff did not help. It is totally bricked. I have to give it to repair. It is only 5 months old !
This seems to be a general issue with the logic boards on this generation of M1 notebooks !? What else can it be ?
I am really disappointed. This is the first and only Apple computer that let me down ever.

Just bring it to your local Apple Store. It might be something that they can take care of while you wait. This happened to me once on my 2008 MacBook Pro. The Apple Store was ten minutes away. I brought it there, they did something and I took it back to the office.

Yes, I actually did this, eg. bringing it to Apple. But because my next Apple Store is too far away, I requested a mail service. They will pick it up,and send it to the repair center…
