Have you checked any Apple authorised resellers in your region?
They may have stock available.

Mine finally moved to prepare to ship. Money has been taken from my credit card. But I don’t have any idea how long it will be in this stage before it gets shipped? Do anybody have any idea?

I've been playing around on the Apple site. The 14" M1Max with 10 core cpu and 32 core gpu, 64gb ram and a 2TB ssd is available for pickup today at my Apple store. But when I change the order to a 4TB ssd, the delivery falls to mid April. If I look at a change to 16", 2 TB, the delivery falls to mid April. So, it's the 4TB ssd or 16" display that's causing the slip.
I ordered an M1Max MacBook Pro with 64GB ram and a 4TB ssd on Jan 17. Was quoted March 18 - 31. I've heard rumors about an enhanced M1Max chip and an M2Max chip coming in 2023. I wonder if the enhanced M1Max chip is more than a rumor. If so, why does the M1Max chip need to be enhanced? I've waited nearly 6 weeks now. I am tempted to cancel the order and wait for the next generation of Max chips. It's obvious that the Max chips are causing the delay. I wonder if there are yield problems with them. I wonder too much, me thinks.

I ordered my 16” 32C 64GB 2TB MBP middle of last November. Delivery date kept slipping and is currently estimated by Apple to be 25th March. So for me in the UK I can only think that it’s a quality/quantity issue - lack of the best chips (all cores working with max ram).

I can’t see the 14/16 MBP being updated with new chips until end of 2023 myself - but no-one knows of course.

At this rate I might end up cancelling my order if Apple release a good 27” iMac very soon (8th March?) - it would probably need to have more than an M1 Max in it though to make it worth my while as I fancy a laptop again if I’m not sacrificing performance.

This is exactly what I went and bought today. This + an additional MagSafe cable. I’m going from a 15” and hope it’s not too much of a compromise. I appreciate the comments and help from everyone here in making a decision.

I did look at B&H and they have a 16” spec close to what I bought but I’m not a fan of their return policy, which is basically no return policy at all.

So Apple sent me a replacement (16" Space Grey Max 2TB ssd and 64GB memory) for wavy trim under display and it was scheduled for same 9 weeks delivery time about 2 weeks back when placed and today I received an email from UPS that it will be here Thursday a full 4 plus weeks early so they must be catching up.

I had sent an email to Tim Cook regarding the trim that I could live without shouldn't have to even consider on a $4600 laptop.
It btw rocks everywhere else I have no complaints other than that trim under screen by hinges and GeekBenchs faster than the ones listed on Geekbench.

My first I ordered 12/14/21 and it came 2/7/22 which they allowed me to keep until new one arrives and it if has same trim issue I'll just keep original as I went to local Apple and all 4 on display had same wavy trim but much worse than mine.

So good luck to all as they are finally catching up after 4 months.

I just got my replacement last week and returning it again. Even worse this time. The screen doesn't come on during boot. Wasn't even able to setup the computer. QA at Apple is going to ****. They estimated April 20th for the 2nd replacement...

Damn. I’m crossing my fingers if this replacement doesn’t have any issues. Cause I’d keep this and live with the wavy trim as opposed to something like yours. Terrible feeling too. Good luck.

About the trim issue, you might want to post your problem over here.

About 2 months and 5 days for you. Extrapolating, that would make it March 22 for me. Yikes!
I ordered a stock 16”/Max/32GB/1TB (no custom options) on January 21. It’s still “Processing” with an arrival estimate of March 25-April 8. IIRC, the delivery window was the first week of March when I ordered it.

So it’s looking like ~9 weeks is about par right now.

Is it my imagination or do 14’s seem to be shipping quicker based on skimming this thread?

Well just got mine which for 16" max 2/tb 64/gb BTO and sure enough plastic trim more wavy then first one. Plus a few other things my original didn't have. I will just live with original as they've done everything I've asked and I don't wish to return so I'll live with it. This is just a not so good design choice for the only visual piece of plastic on machine and I've seen this on 2/3rds of the machines I personally looked at in various stores Apple and others. Funny as I adjusted my desk lamp and its no longer visible when using on my desk at least. ?

My 14" M1 Max came about a week earlier then expected, so just shy of 2 months. Happy it was early, it still took ages.

I ordered my M1Max-32 core with 4TB and 64GB on January 20, it has been showing a March 14-28 delivery winodw since with no change yet. I can live with that due to my circumstances but I hope that date at least holds, no one wants to wait for their new baby longer than necessary.

I ordered my MBP with M1 Max CPU, 32GB and 1TB SSD (standard version) on January 20. The delivery time was stated as March 1 to March 8. Yesterday the device was shipped and will arrive on Monday 07 March.
