I just got my tracking info for my maxed out 14 MBP. They predicted March 14-28 on January 20 when I ordered it and it looks like it will be the 16th. This has been pretty much the norm for BTO products, they have usually arrived in the earlier parts of the estimated windows.

After today's event, I decided to keep my laptop order and order the display. Now I have to sell my LG display.
** Edit ** However, I just cancelled my laptop order and ordered a Studio Mac. I'll keep my Intel MacBook Pro for now.

Last night the delivery date for my maxed out 14" MBP March 16th estimate was changed to the 11th, I just now was notified it will be here this afternoon (March 9). 7 weeks to the day after I ordered it, almost a week before the earliest estimate and 3 weeks before the latest.

Just remember to copy all the serial number for expensive software/shareware to transfer or get discounts for new Silicone/Universal copies of that software! Also use /Applications/Utilities/Migration Assistant.app to transfer over saved email boxes, Documents, videos! Don't transfer Applications or Network Settings, they always screw up each new version!

Received an email this morning that my delivery date had changed, was excited that I might be getting it sooner. Opened the email and estimate slipped to a week later. Ahhh... 14" M1 Max 32c 32gb 1tb.

Order placed on 3/1, I was just finally charged for it this morning. No tracking or other updates. It still shows as processing with delivery between 4/20-4/27.

You might expect a company like Apple to have their deliveries in control. Certainly when they announce a new device that uses more or less the same components (the Mac Ultra, which shares cpu's, memory and storage), they should have resolved their delays. But no, the eta for my 16" M1 Max 10/24/32GB/1TB just shifted 3 weeks in the wrong direction (order beginning of februari, delivery now end of april). Hoping my current MBP will hold, but touchbar is gone already and battery is on the edge.

I ordered a stock 16”/Max/32GB/1TB (no custom options) on January 21. It’s still “Processing” with an arrival estimate of March 25-April 8. IIRC, the delivery window was the first week of March when I ordered it.

So it’s looking like ~9 weeks is about par right now.
Finally moved out of "Processing" on April 5. Was shipped and received by April 7.
