So can you use the Magic Keyboard from gen 4 iPad Pro to the gen 6 iPad Pro with no issues? Slightly worried that it may not close completely for me.Still waiting on set up to complete. Slightly thinker than Gen 4. (0.5mm)
Wait it doesn't come updated to iOS 16.1 by default...what are you thoughts on it?
No, it doesn’.Wait it doesn't come updated to iOS 16.1 by default...

Check again , looks like instore pickup is open again for pickup in quite a few places today .Apple in store pickup disappeared from the options yesterday. I’m visiting family in another state and wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to buy here with the timing (also lower sales tax here is nice).
Hoping to see it open up for same day pickup tomorrow morning early since I didn’t preorder this time.
I guess we will find out todayMacrumors had an article about this when gen 5 was released.
There are two generations of the Magic Keyboard. Gen 1 supports the thinner gen 4 ipad. Gen 2 supports the thicker gen 5 and 6 ipad.
Apple claims you can use a gen 5 or 6 in a gen 1 keyboard but it might not close all the way.
Of course the in-store option returned today, for all stores, btw. Why they do it this way (remove in-store pickup for three days before bringing it back on the release day) is beyond me.
I'm not sure this way is optimal . Gives me a headache. There's maybe a hype element lurking in there.
The joy of being on another timezone is that I was able to secure an iPad for pickup at 4am when I happened to wake up. Yay! I have a window for pickup right when they open and saved about $70 since sales tax is less than half of what it is in my home state. Excited!Check again , looks like instore pickup is open again for pickup in quite a few places today .
Believe the charge occurs now (to ensure you have enough to cover cost), will fall off, and then you'll get a permanent charge when it ships. Pretty standard procedure.Ordering from Apple using my Apple Card requires that I pay now for a new 11" iPad Pro that won't be shipped for another few weeks. Apple used to charge my credit card when the item shipped. Why the change? Is Apple hurting financially? Anyhow, I've decided to wait until there's no wait time (pay for it when it gets shipped). My trade-in will pay for most of it (the difference is less than $280 .. That I can afford). They'll send me a return kit when or after the iPad arrives. I'll time the purchase and return for just after I pay my Apple Card bill. Apple seems to be becoming a different kind of company - getting too big maybe. Maybe it's time for it to split into two or more companies.
Mine is supposed to show up by 2:00, but UPS must be running late as it's not here yet. Oh well.Mine is out for delivery. Hopefully it won’t be delivered until i’m home
UPS did not even wait for a siganture, left it by the door and drove off.Mine is out for delivery. Hopefully it won’t be delivered until i’m home
