I have my 2011 mini connected to my Dell U2311H via a HDMI to DVI cable and it works without any issues whatsoever. BTW - This is running at 1920 x 1080...

So do Samsung displays/TV's tend to work better in general?

Or is that just a coincidence?

My Samsung P2450 doesn't work well. Blurry fonts like other guys I found searching on google. I tried hdmi-hdmi and dvi- hdmi using Apple adaptor found inside. I installed tinker tools but it did't change anything. It seems to be an unresolved bug or so. Don't know what do but I'm thinking to take it back to the Apple store for refund.
I have same issues with hdmi to hdmi, but with the hdmi/dvi adapter everything is alright-clear fonts and the rest.

AOC V22 LED, looks horrible! I switched over to my HP 2311x and it looks much better. I could barely read the text and the colors totally looked washed out on the AOC V22 LED.

What up with Apple there doesn't appear to be an ICC for any of these monitors, whereas Snow Leopard worked and installed the proper ICC for each monitor I threw at it. Not so with Lion!

I'm certainly glad I found this thread--I was about to order a new mini. Does anyone know whether an HP 2710 works well with the new mini or not?

My mini server is driving a DELL3007WFPHC Display at 2560x1600 using the Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter along with a Dell 2001FP using a HDMI-DVI cable with no problems so far.

NEC MultiSync 2490WUXi2-BK 24" Widescreen LCD Display

Has anyone tried it with the NEC MultiSync 2490WUXi2-BK 24" Widescreen LCD Display?

I have the LG L246WP monitor. when I connect it via HDMI which is the only digital port on the monitor, the screen is completely off centered, to the point where I can't even use it since I can't get to the most left menu. Has anyone ever encountered anything like that? the display works fine with my desktop PC. Is it just an incompatibility issue or something more?

I have a samsung pn50c590g4fxza 50 Inch 1 year old that would not work on hdmi3. I tried hdmi 1 and it works fine.

On my samsung, it says hdmi1 (dvi). I will research the difference in samsung hdmi ports and report anything worthy.

Thanks so much to this thread for helping out.

Picked up the baseline model Mac mini. I have it connected via HDMI to LG IPS236V without any problems.

Dell U2211H, mini displayport to displayport cable out of the TB port works fine

24" LED Cinema Display - flickers and has other display irregularities. It's a known issue with 24" ACD and all Thunderbolt Macs. Firmware update is supposedly on the way.

I had a 2.5 with the AMD graphics + my 24" ACD and experienced the above mentioned flickering, tearing, twitching and black screens to the point it was unusable. Worked with Apple on it but to no avail. Had to return it and picked up a 2.3 with the Intel graphics (really don't need the higher end graphics) and it works fine with the 24" ACD.

FWIW, I did hook up an old NEC 2070 to the 2.5 and it worked fine.

LG 50PK250 Plasma TV works like a charm over HDMI, also tested running HDMI through my Yamaha YHTS 400 "Receiver" and had no issues whatsoever.

I've got my new quad core mini server hooked to my Dell 2309W through the HDMI port at 2048 x 1152 native resolution with no real issues. It sometimes takes it a few seconds to settle down when I switch inputs on the monitor, but once the handshake is complete, no issues.

This is interesting, as my resolution is above the advertised max on the HDMI output of 1920x1200, yet my monitor is reporting that it is receiving a 2048x1152 signal, and osx is reporting the the same. Good thing I didn't order the TB to DVI adapter before trying it. :)

Are y'all seeing a big difference for viewing with the better graphics card? I'm looking to get one for a Sony XBR attached via HDMI. What about the faster hard drive?

Aaron Hinni..

Could you please answer two questions regarding your set up with the Dell 3007 if possible ? Did you have to connect the USB end as well or did you not have to ? If yes, where did you connect it to (Monitor-or Mac Mini) ? I have the Dell 3007 WF PHC as well and may purchase the Mac Mini and there have been questions regarding if both the DVI and USB cable from the DisplayPort Dual link adapter needs to be connected.

Many thanks to you or anyone in the know...

I have the same random flickering and black screen issues with a 24'' ACD. As of yesterday, tech support has no information when/if firmware update will be available. 10.7.1 didn't fix the problem and I am going to return the Mac Mini for a refund, they either didn't test hardware compatibility probably or started selling them despite the problems. I'm not a happy camper.
