Do you have a feature that you wish existed in the Mac Mini? Post it here! Maybe an Apple Rep can get some inspiration.
Don't bother posting requests that apply to the entire lineup (ie: Bluray), this is a Mac Mini specific wishlist. Also, future techs not in any other Macs obviously won't make it into a Mac Mini first ;)

I wish for...
- Another Firewire 800 port
- The ability to open the Mac Mini by unscrewing instead of prying with a putty knife.

What do you wish for?

- Easier access to RAM/ Hard drive
- Maybe a new case design, black glass top or maybe all aluminum
- At least 2GB of RAM standard, up to 8GB

...how would it get wifi signal with an all alum case = there's no plastic hinges like on the uMBP's...2 GB of RAM standard as one 2 GB chip would be ok but 2x1 is a waste as every usually replaces it anyway...

A Mini Mac Pro? :D

EDIT: Hmm, I wish "Myriad Pro" had a "Light" version, damn.

We discussed this before - especially since it wasn't updated for a long, long time.

Most of what people wanted during that time has made it in (dual display, faster IGA).

If it's going to stay in its small package form, I'm pretty happy with its current release. Maybe just easier RAM/HD access.

So, I would like to see a price drop to $499 for a basic system...

A 20" Apple Branded Display for $399 to match would be nice too... ;)

Only a few things I can think of:

1. Drop the price back down to $499 like it was in the G4 era.
2. Bump the RAM limit to 8gigs like the rest of the lineup. 4gigs is great and amazing, but there's always going to be someone that wants more.
3. Not specifically having to do with the mini, but offer a decent display for $299-399. Maybe bring back an updated 20" Cinema Display.

This all said, I love the current mini to death :D

I hope Apple releases a 20in LED Cinema Display for $299 and a new mighty mouse, I will definitely buy them to pair it with my Mac Mini.

A Core2 Quad or at least the same processors as the iMac. Distrete graphics card would be nice. Maybe even an ATI 4850.

3.5" hard drive - remove the current SuperDrive and make it a USB option like the MacBook Air.

+1 for a 20" display :)

hdmi output and a discrete graphics card would be all I ask for.

That's exactly what I was going to say. I'd love discrete graphics, at least a 9600MGT or something, Blue ray would be neat for the whole line, and I'm a whore for ram, the 8 gig max would be cool too. Imaging a mini with 8 gigs of ram. I'd also go for a processor closer to 2.5 ghz and easier access to the guts, a putty knife is for crazy people.:D

I could go without one of the display ports, probably the DVI since the Mini Display can handle all things if only Apple would open up audio (unless they already do on the minis, I can't find this info anywhere and didn't want to be crucified on the forums for asking). Probably replace it with a FW port.

I don't think I'm being too unreasonable except for the discrete graphics part.
